Season Three, Event 15: Descent

Only two witches in the top 100, maybe this says something? ;)

What's a general strategy for these kinds of events? I was trying to clear a lot of an area before moving on because I was under-leveled, but it seems instead like people are rushing ahead.

Are there key mobs or areas to skip? The statues took me absolutely forever to clear. Also, anyone have a link to that chest reward database?

Playing a ranger I find the Arachnid Tomb really relaxing.
I think it may depend on your available skills which areas are as easy as a sing-along.

Pretty simple:
- Rush as much as you can without getting yourself killed
- Being slightly underleveled is good, as higher level mobs give more exp
- Skip whatever is difficult for your build and kill whatever is easy
- Maximize your exp by picking an AoE skill and going for large groups of mobs
- Skip small groups of mobs, especially mobs with large amounts of health
The people who die, do they still get rewards? Or are they only kept in the ladder just so others can see how far they progressed?

Dead chars still qualify for reward points in all Descent events.
Died with maruder on lvl 2 haha. Died to some crazy pack of multi-projectile. Rerolled duelist but died to perma freeze in frozen abyss meh, just before race finished. No luck with RNG.

Witches were the safest in this race, with Duelists dying most frequently. Duelists are slightly more represented in the top 100 than top 2000, perhaps indicating that Duelists are reaching higher ranks more easily compared to other players. Witches were clearly underrepresented in the top 100 in this race, but future races will tell us more about the balance...
