Dps Spreadsheet: If you want to alter values you'll need to do File -> Download as Excel. Its within 1% of tooltip dps for both my templar and shadow so I think its fairly accurate. Of course your mileage may vary.

Preface:
This build is still going through testing. Nothing I write should be taken as the "best" way to make a power discharger. I'm just sharing my experience and opinions in hopes that it may help out other dischargers and I'm certain my opinion will change over time. With that said, the build is made to farm Lunaris not maps. It can be made to do maps but you will have to go CI and lose Wondertraps and Pain Attunement.

The Goal:
Farm fast and furious. The idea is to make a better farmer than dual sparks. To make a fast farmer you need DPS, IIR/IIQ and not die.

How to get high DPS
:
Discharge. You'll one shot all trash, most magic and some uniques.

How to get high IIR/IIQ:
Wondertrap. The build will go low life and utilize wondertrap for the high IIR. It will NOT go righteous fire. I'll explain later.

How to not die:
Vaal Pact + Ghost Reaver. Reflect is a big issue because of the high dps. You don't want to get one shot by your own reflected Discharge! Vaal pact + Ghost reaver should nullify reflect given reasonable resist. For this reason, we can not use righteous fire because Vaal Pact does not allow life regen.

The Gear: Post 1.04
Wand - Void Battery. An arguement can be made for Divinarius.
Shield - High ES shield. Gale Emblem (mirrored shield) is perfect.
Chest - 6L Voll's Protector. Discharge, Life Leech, Increased Crit Chance, Mana Leech, IIR, IIQ
Helm - 400+ ES, IIR/IIQ
Rings - Rare with IIR/IIQ. Can't use Andvarius. The gear already has many slots without resists.
Amulet - Voll's Devotion. Mandatory for me right now. I took it off as an experiment and proceeded to one shot myself on reflect. The endurance charges prevent this.
Belt - Perandus Blazon
Gloves - Hellbringer or 200+es Rare. You need the ES here.
Boots - Wondertrap

Aura's
I use Malachai's Unique Helm to give blood magic on my auras. I'm currently running Purity, Discipline and Haste. In the video I ran clarity but its not needed.

Flasks
Flask are extremely important. Do not skimp on your flasks.
Surgeon's Granite Flask of Iron Skin
Surgeon's Hallowed Mana Flask of Heat (Deal with being frozen)
Saturated Hallowed Mana Flask of Warding (Saturated helps keep a higher warding uptime)
Surgeon's Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline
Surgeon's Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline

Divination Distillate - I switch out one of the quicksilver flask for this flask a little before Piety to increase her drops.

Bandit Rewards:
Normal - Skill
Cruel - Skill
Merciless - Endurance or Power. I took power on my Templar, but I would take endurance if I could do over. Power is more dps. Endurance is more surviveability. This build has enough dps and is short on surviveability. Endurance helps where its weaker. Endurance also extends the duration of immortal call. More endurance charges makes it easier to chain immortal call on trash (I need to test this).

The Build: This tree will most likely change once I play it some more. It's also a shadow build (my main is a shadow). The preferred class would be templar.

Mandataroy Nodes:
Unwavering Stance - This is a MUST. I tried to get by without the node which isnt a good idea.

Ghost Reaver + Vaal Pact - So you dont die to reflect.

Build in the video w/ Hellbringer (Shadow):

Stats in the video:
65k dps, 83% crit (without critical weakness), 5.7k ES, 100IIQ, 250IIR.

Current Build w/ Rare Glove (Templar):

Current stats"
71k dps, 76% crit (without critical weakness), 6.2k ES, 110IIQ, 250IIR.

Slower, Safer build (Templar) w/Eye of Chayula:
Spoiler
http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgUABAcFWwW1Dq0QexEvFHUVUBZAGmwfAij6KU8ppSo4KwosnC0fMHw2xTrYO-E8BT1fQYdDY0bXRwZMs03YUDBRR1JTVa5Y9V3GXvpfKl9qY0Nmnm0ZcFJw1XFNdEF2EXfXerh7136vfyuCHoLHhX2IQohri4yMdo2_jmSP-peVl_SZmprPna6dxJ_fpwinK66TtMW1BLb3tvq3MbiTvjrAUcEAwcXB88Lsw23YJNsa217b5-Fz4vfjhOQi62Pr5Ovu7BjsOO0g73zyHfLh9Uv3pvyr

Over 8k armor (Determination, Grace). More MF because of Eye of Chayula and easier to use the unique Flask with this build. It doesn't clear nearly as fast as the Voll's Devotion build.

I've had a couple people ask for a link of the gear I use. In the video I was using Hellbringer. I've since changed to a rare for more iiq, resists and less mana penalties. Hellbringer and Divinarius are both very good if you decide to go that route. The bigest downside of hellbringer is you can't go CI because in CI your buffs will be reserved off mana making the mana increase from hellbringer very very difficult if not near impossible to overcome. Thats the main reason I made the switch since I want the option to go CI.

Any input would be welcome!

Needs more light radius passives man.
Quite expensive for a farm build.
why can't people post builds that don't require items that 80% of players don't have or will most likely never have? in my opinion its just another rich kid build that won't ever work for most players.
Finally a faster farm build than dual sparkers. Only little problem is you need like 50+(actually 150+ if we buy your item choices) exalteds for it. But once you have it you can spend weeks to get back the cost so at least you'll have a goal :D
Guys! Need your help for a difficult decision.

I'm leveling a Discharger templar.

In the skill tree I'm just beside Vaal pact. So now I have 2 different options:

1) go down and get Iron Reflexes and from there go to Unwavering Stance

2) go straight down to Unwavering Stance and not bother with Iron Reflexes, thus saving a load of skill points.

I have never used Iron Reflexes before, does it really make a difference on the defensive side that would justify the point investment? (knowing that I'm not playing in a hardcore league)

With unwavering stance is iron reflexes a necessity to compensate the inability to avoid attacks?
thanks for this post. Care to post your discharge and frozen spear gem links?
