What's the difference between those two in the timer?

Veteran includes only those who posted on the forums before the closed beta began, which is around august 10th. Random includes everyone.

I think veterans are ppl that sign before cbt start. Posts increases your chances you will be pick up. My activity on forum starts few days ago and i wrote my first post after cbt start.

You have higher chance to get in as veteran then lucky random one its obvious
