PoE Helper (unofficial chrome extension to help with crafting/inventory)

Awesome changes, and super-fast turnaround, thanks! Small thing to add to your patch notes... You also added character names to the tab column :)

Love the drag & drop functionality. That would be cool for sharing trades with potential buyers/sellers. Is it practical to merge imported data in with your own, to match up recipes?

Oh yeah, i think i did some random things people were asking for. By the time I get to the notes I tend to have forgotten the things I did at the start :p

Probably not that practical to merge the imported data at this stage. If you wanted tho you could import the file, copy to clipboard, then switch back to your league of choice to do the match.

It probably isn't at all clear (someone should really write some documentation for all this crap) is that you can do a partial export via the crafting menu.

that is, going into configure crafting, check all the stuff you dont' want to export, then do the export via crafting. that way in theory if you had a few tabs of good stuff you wanted to trade you could export just that.

There's a crafting recipe that isn't working properly.

The helper is indicating that a single magical item with quality 20% will yield a blacksmith's whetstone or armorer's scrap which is not the case in game.

It seems that only white/ normal items with 20% will yield the currency.
How is the plugin auto-updating? Any time / day it checks? So far mine is still 0.65.

Edit: Nevermind, it has updated now.

I think it can take a couple of hours before chrome checks.

you can go to chrome://extensions click the developer mode button then click update all to force an update.

This can't be fixed unfortunately.

Only things that drop with 20% will give the reward. things you used stones/scraps on to get to 20% won't.

No way for the plugin to tell the difference :-/

The way I just tested the whetstone recipe:
  • Started with white item, 0% quality
  • Added 4 whetstones to reach 20% quality = 1 whetstone
  • Used a Transmutation orb = various shards
  • Repeated on a 2nd item, same results.
  • Sold both items together = Whetstone.

So the recipe should look like

White non-magical/rare, 20% weapon = whetstone

Magic & rare weapons need more than one and to add up to 40%.

Same thing with Armourer's Scraps.

This is how I understand the recipe to work, I don't believe the quality it drops with matters at all (possibly the only exception is if it is an unIDed magic/rare, but I don't have one handy to test).

Seems a bit odd, it wasn't because your magic/rare was giving alchemy shards? or had six mods?

There is definitely some odd priority system in place.

I'm sure sometimes i've been given a chromatic above an alchemy when matching rare names.

I've not actually looked into it myself, this is just what I was told from previous versions.

i'll add a note to update the way it works sometime.

FYI, I finally figured out how to log in via a standalone (C#) application. I tried in the past in small chunks of time, failing, not getting anywhere and eventually giving up, as I really knew nothing of web page interaction before this project started.

Now I have my personal application to the point where I can give it an email address, a password, and a league and it will grab all of the stash pages for that account and throw all identified rares in a database. I can then add multiple accounts to the database through this application and cross-check accounts virtually instantly for matches. I only use it for Alchemy and Regal orbs, and I'm not planning on anything as fancy and thorough as this chrome app.

Just a heads up...

It doesn't matter whether the item gives alchemy shards or not (one did, one didn't) it won't give a whetstone for a 20% magic/rare item, only white items. If the recipe contains magic/rare items, the quality has to add up to 40%.
