The typical usage for Alpha howl with this build is to put all your auras on your Gloves/Boots.

Equip Alpha howl for 8% reduced mana reserved.
Equip The Covenant Chestpiece for BM with no cost.

Put 3 auras on your HP (Haste included)

Then remove The Covenant and put your other two auras on your mana pool.

Then remove Alpha and re-equip your IIQ/IIR helm.

This gives you 5 auras instead of the normal 4 that Malachai's Simula allows.

The only downside is cost.

Malachai's Simula = 1 Chaos

Alpha Howl = 1 Exalt if you are really lucky. 1.5 more likely
The Covenant = 3-8 GCP

If you have the funds then go for it. I am not there yet myself.

I am 66 now, no Shavronne's, ~530 or so DPS with righteous fire up + using redbeak. What do I do now? Farm the docks and lunaris until my soul shatters?

Well first max out your MF gear. Once you have 100/265 like me THEN farm docks or lunaris till your soul shatters. And just cause you don't have Shav's doesn't mean you can't do some of the lower maps for fun if you want. Just be careful.

This build isn't really built for fun. It's primary purpose is farming efficiency, so use it to fund all the other fun builds around. That's what I'm doing.

If you haven't tried out the Lvl 60+ Unidentified Rare vendor recipe that gives you 2 Choas, then give that a whirl. I can make complete sets including jewelry so easily now. So much currency.

Pro-Tip: Do Docks Solo. I know it goes against what everyone says, but I guarantee you'll get more rares for yourself that way. I usually fill up my bags twice per docks run when I go solo. With a group tons of rares drop but they get allocated to other people even though I'm the one with all the IIQ/IIR.

How do you get 100 quant? I'm at like 42/222.

I am well aware it's a farming build, that's why I built it. Do you still get a large number of yellows when your level is 10+ higher than the Docks?

EDIT: Nevermind, I never noticed just how good some of your MF gear is, haha.

Most of it comes from that IIQ gem in my 5 link chest. The rest of the Quant gear was pretty cheap. Got the helm for 1 GCP and the 40+ Dex ring for 2 GCP. Think the belt is like 2 GCP too. The 16% IIQ gem I got for 3 GCP and then upgraded it myself.

I didn't start this build terribly rich. As I gain currency I buy upgrades. Usually I can upgrade 1 item each night if I play for a few hours.

Use POExplorer to find upgrades and work some deals.

Oh and yes you still get shit tons of rares no matter how high your level it. As far as loot is concerned, the maximum player level is 68. Since that is only 2 levels above Docks (66), you get no drop penalty. You could be level 100 and still get the same amount of loot.

Life Reservation - 40%, 40%, Clarity
Mana Reservation - 40%, Discipline

The advantage of alpha howl is the 8%. The disadvantage is using covenant which gives - max health so you can't use your complete health pool for auras. (unlikely to run clairty and 2x 40% with covenant unless your hp is high which is a no-no for this build). I'm not sure the benefits outweigh the drawback (not in a math mode right now).

Maybe i missed something with the howl + covenant combo, but if your goal is to run 5 auras just use malachai because its way cheaper.

You misinterpreted the intentions of my theory craft. Alpha's Howl was used because it is the only helm that gives +2 aura gem level (not sure if rares can do so, regardless the craft was to calculate if the effects from Righteous Fire would be mitigated with maximum level gems. The thing is that even with ALL the auras at level 22 the difference between having Inner Force and not having it are miniscule. Granted I didn't account for flash effect....... but whatever. pots are for stoners. Read my post again ;)

Cause I spec into Shock in the bottom right of tree later on for a DPS boost. That's around the same time I start snagging crit nodes to make that useful. Static Blows is for early game when you don't have any crit.
