10 deaths to kill Vaal on Normal?

I'm not the OP but some decent advice here on tanking Vaal if you've never been able to do it before.. just want to say that after reading these comments, I took Vaal down this morning with a single (avoidable) death using nothing but Heavy Strike, Melee Splash (for Vaal spawn) and LoH with some shitty gear. 500 HP and using one life flask (the other 4 were mana flasks - I have pretty useless mana regen so needed all that mana).

EDIT: As for passives.. regulation start health / armor nodes, +30 dex and +30 int to tide me over until better gear, only Keystone so far is Resolute Technique (awesome! when every hit lands, it's a beautiful thing). Gunning for LA BM Bowrauder build.

I ran around Vaal in circles to dodge all of his attacks. It took a few minutes but run around him until he winds up hit him a few times, then keep circling lol
