Look at the Leap slam gem (lower left) - i have never used a GCP on it ;)

ADDING:

1) You can spend currency items while they're in your stash so only keep TPs and IDs in your inv for quick access to them and to keep inv clear for all the goodies you loot.

2) You can SHIFT+Click items into vendor windows for quicker selling. (No ability to get things in and out of stash quickly just yet, though. :( )

3) You can CTL+Click an item and it will open chat and link the item to it.

4) Your Flasks refill when you return to town, so if you're playing with a friend and come to a difficult battle, both of you should make a TP, then when you return to town (die/etc), RETURN TO THE SPOT WHERE YOU TP'D USING EACH OTHER'S TPs and the TPs WILL STAY UP, so you won't have to recast before returning to battle. This is useful when you're in a fight where you're spamming flasks... when you run out simply click any TP > Then return to fight immediately USING YOUR FRIEND'S TP. Voila!! refreshed flasks in the middle of a fight!! ;D

5) White items may seem like junk, but providing they have a desirable socket roll on them, you can roll them into magic or rare items, maybe even a unique? I think?

6) BE POLITE! This community (so far) is nothing like the douchefacedly douchey D2 community, and being nice will get you very far as far as making friends and learning the game/progressing goes... Currently, the community is very mature, helpful and respectful, let's keep it that way!

7) REALIZE THAT THIS IS A BETA AND IT'S NOT PERFECT, (YET ;D) there are going to be issues, especially during a STRESS TEST WEEKEND. ;P Read the "Known Issues" sticky before ranting about something on the forums, and know that POE is excellent at fixing things. The other night I received a message in game, something along the lines of "There's a problem and we're working to fix it now", like 10 minutes later it was fixed! I mean seriously? What game company responds that quickly? GGG, datshoo!!!

8) MOST IMPORTANT!!!!! REMEMBER, THIS IS A GAME AND IT'S MEANT TO BE FUN!!!! SO GO HAVE FUN!!! WTF ARE YOU DOING STILL READING THIS??!?!?! ;D

I probably left some good pointers out. If I think of anything else, I'll edit. :)

Glad I looked this place up. I was getting bummed about not being able to track to some extent, where you needed to go for quests. Thanks for all the tips!!

Can someone please explain what improving the quality of an item does? If I get to 100% what happens?

Compare the regular gem with the QUality Gem.

FOr example the Anger gem will have increase Area of Effect for additional Quality.

It adds to the damage / etc...

I think most (all?) items can only have 20% increased quality though.

Compare his Leap Slam with Quality from mine without quality. Quality usually adds a mod to the skill.

Great thread, very informative! Hope this helps lots of newcomers out and makes their journey through Wraeclast much more enjoyable!! Thanks for taking the time to put this information up :)
