We want throwing Items!!!

Damn, beat me to it. I was thinking the same thing, but with a skill gem. Damage based on item type so that more cumbersome items do more damage.

Items would be picked left to right from the inventory. Rare and unique items would also do a lot more damage than white ones, so that players can "prepare their arsenal" for bosses.

Items would be destroyed when thrown. Take that for an economy sink.

Anyway, I know it's a impossible idea, but it would be fun nonetheless.

alchimist? Like converting flasks to molotov cocktails which detonate for fire damage and leave burning grund? Yeah, that would be cool ;)

Works with daggers and one-handed axes.

Throws your main hand melee weapon towards an enemy. (medium range)

60% reduced weapon damage
30% reduced attack speed

Requires high Dex and Str for higher skill-levels

throwing crap would also be nice, reminds me of that desert-post-war-shooterlike-game... *damn nonworking brain*... Fallout! :)

I am going to have to agree here, throwing weapons would be nice to have in the game.
With that said this is an idea that should be put on the back burner and worked on when you have time before release.

Ideas to help the cause out:

Item; Throwing Axes, Spears, Throwing Knives, Ninja Stars, Throwing Flasks

Gem ideas; Many gems could currently work with this idea including Explosive arrow, Viper Strike/Posion arrow, Infernal Blow, Frenzy, EK, LMP, Multistrike, ETC

New Gem ideas;
Phase throw: Creates an illusion in your place that will stand and throw weapons for a duration of time allowing you to run around or use other skills.

Capture: Throws weapon at enemy target with a net attached to your weapon, upon striking the enemy he is netted for a duration of time unable to cast,move,attack.

Throw Trap(support gem): Attaches a trap of your choice to your weapon and is thrown at target enemy with your weapon.

Marksman Thrower: Increases attack speed and accuracy to max, reduces dmg and you must stand in the same spot for at least 2 seconds to min affect and 5 seconds for max affect.

Alchemist: Combines 4 flasks into one giant flask, splitting the dmg into 4 groups each dealing 25% of base dmg totaling 100% total dmg. Each group of 25% dmg is a diffrent element, Ice, Fire, Lighting, Chaos. Flasks should all carry a on ground affect after use like burning ground/frozen ground this goes for throwing all flasks not just this skill.
sounds like some people dont do the difference between 2 concepts. flasks and potions, Flask = consumable, Potions = Throwable

i would make the throwing potions that way :
1) cuz the game has no repair, the potions would refill over time (not with killz, cuz you need em to actually kill) (more IAS= faster refill)
2) They are items so they can be white/magic/rare/unique
3) They deal elemental damage no phyz
4) they deal radius damage
5) if you get stunned, the potions is considered drop from ur hands so you get the damage of it

throwing weapons would be awesome! One of the diamond supporters should request a Zelda style boomerang unique :-)
