Critically low levels of dopamine from raw map drops

Are we playing the same game? I speedrun blue t16s and there's more than enough loot and map sustain.

Hint for all of you loot-starved people: You can run Beach non-stop with little to no investment.

Oh, I almost forgot, the chinese client has had an auction house for a while.

they had instant buyouts but you couldnt search the way we can, its not an AH like this.

No, there are plenty of useful wearable loot drops OFF THE GROUND in D3. This concept is completely foreign in both POE1 and POE2. In compensation we have 20 steps of gambling labeled as "craft this item" combined with the antiquated trading system for which you are advocating.

Similarly, there is no loot/item hunt in POE1 or POE2. Currency is not loot because you cannot equip it. Wearable drops and associated things to slot into those drops (special gems, runegrafts, tattoos, etc.) are loot, and in that case the carrot keeps being pushed further away from the stick.

The only thing in 3.2.7 that remotely respects your time is the gamba tree and everything else has been nuked from orbit.

semantics. in D3 there is no item hunt, it just doesnt exist. you start a new league within hours you have your season set given to you and you are blowing up all the content, within 24 hours of league start you have found/crafted 10 copies of every item you need.

you craft items in D3 also.

self found is completely fine in poe1 and poe2, and i have used items from the floor in both games. i dont really buy the idea that crafting gear is a problem and hence somehow doesnt count, youre just making stuff up.

the entire premiss that they have nerfed loot to compensate for an AH is in itself false, youre making up issues that dont exist in order to validate a reaction to a claim that in itself is a fantasy.

but hey, we now have more scamming than ever, more bots than ever, a greater divide between rich/poor and an undercutting war that has seen the price of regular drops regular players can expect to find plumet despite them claiming theyre not finding them. so awesome, ggg has finally joined the 21st century arpg design by adding an auction house that doesnt exist in any remotely notable arpg today in the 21st century.

i like it but ppl been calling for this for 12 years and it has come with the problems ppl said it would and it hasnt fixed a lot of the problems people said it would. but its fixed ppl not responding and for me thats all i care about now days so whatever, im happy with it.

this isnt ggg playing catchup with the field tho, this is them doing something which is currently not being done and has never been successfully done long term.
I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
Diablo 3's heyday was during the AH period. The biggest complaints were about the real money one, not the gold one. But Blizzard decided to drop them both and thus the game survived only one expansion before getting dropped.

Here is a little secret - the new Breaches work wonders with Delirium

Why?
Let me give you a little econ 101. 99 percent of players run maps to level . Anything you put in a map run is going to be completely watered down. A standard map, juiced or not, is going to drive supply through the roof. The mistake GGG made was putting a high lvl boss on every map and making it mandatory. Now items are watered down as well.

100% this

I would expect hardcore and SSF PoE players to be the biggest fans of vanilla d3. D3 is still the hardest rpg ever made. Progression in inferno was really slow, every little gear upgrade got you closer to the end of act.
taking 20 minutes to kill belial is not hard. it was annoying.

hardest arpg out there is Nioh 2.
I am going to put on my tin foil hat and make a post:
They actually want low levels of dopamine. They want you to go on rehab, so you get used to their great new game Poe 2, that, as of now, you hate. But with a smart strategy that includes implementing as much poe 2 game design mechanics in poe 1 as possible without being to obvious, they put you on metadon until you are ready for poe 2.

I figured it all out, they can't decieve me ;P
