Fortress in early maps. NPC is just to squishy, not doable

Not everybody plays a screen clearing build.
One the plus side its good that you don't die, so hc players can enjoy the league mechanic. But: The npc is way to squishy. i dunno if i missed sth but even with clicking on all the 3 help icons i cannot for the love of good manage 24 waves with RF CHieftain... Also, there needs to be a reward for partially defending it, so its not a complete waste of time. Best i did was 17 out of 24, at least give some bloodjuice for that... Well, good for you. I also have zero issues with this league start with the exception of this 24 wave encounter. Do you play a projectile build? I can imagine that this encoutner might be ok if you can just clear the screen and have faster movement speed or sth. I have to stand in the middle and wait for the monster to melt in my presence.

If there was some guaranteed healing spawns it would be fine, but sometimes no healing/shielding spawn, making 24 waves way too many to not loose to chipping damage from projectiles...

Playing RF and its almost impossible to keep the NPC alive from random ranged attacks hitting her throughout the waves. My build doesn't have 1+ screens of clear every second. She needs a substantial buff to her health pool or the mechanic in general just needs to be disabled - there is no reason to have this blight mechanic in breach which just pushes even more reasons to be playing meta slave screen clear builds. I'm playing an RF build and I agree with this. The ranged monsters tend to go after Ailith before i can get to them. I feel like they are not prioritizing the player and just off screen killing her before i can react.
I started using a decoy totem to help, but I'm still failing at wave 8-12 because of her getting hit. The randomness of the "help icons" doesn't help. Ive gotten heal or shield way fewer then the others. Last edited by cyberspacecowboy#6681 on Nov 1, 2025, 3:46:01 PM

Same issue, playing retaliate glad, simply impossible to deal with 3 waves all coming at once from different angles. So bad, please fix this crap.

If you play anything that can't clear the screen in 0.5 seconds, npc dies eventually. it's just a bad design, remove her health and make monsters come to player.
