Its clear that GGG will never fix the trade problem, so WE have to.
They already mentioned that a rework might happen in the future but it would be implemented in POE2 first and "maybe" in poe1 later.
That said though; there is always 2 sides of the coin in the current trade system. On one side we want a quick trade response - on the other we don't want to be bothered by trades when in a boss fight, delve, (juiced) mapping... I would even add a third side on the coin... we also don't want to "miss out" on our "big ticket sales" even when doing "juiced" or hard to leave content. At the same time GGG's system is fully outside the game to find and pm people then hop back into game to trade... which in 2025 is a bit outdated and tedious to say the least. The community has created several tools to make the process easier... sadly GGG did dial back those tools on the "amount" they can interact with the servers via the API system a couple leagues ago... Adding to that; they are still third party tools so sadly not always risk free; and you still depend on others to create/update it. They are kind of misaligned bandaid... ON top of it Path of Exile has always suffered from price fixing in the current system. Basically where a bunch of dummy accounts are made and items traded to them; to then list them and lower/increase the price of certain items to manipulate the market. Never selling the item... just to influence prices. I've started to "ignore" traders that don't answer and have "strange" names - because often they have multiple items listed - thus no longer show up in other searches. sadly the list has only 1000 spots.. but it's better then nothing. The current currency trade market isn't perfect - but having a similar system for all other items would be one the most wanted and welcomed QOL features GGG can do. They could easily patch the current system though - just place a gold cost to list items in your stash -> no more trade fixers. Last edited by FutureFear#3386 on Jun 24, 2025, 5:54:17 PM

That being said, blocking someone because they dont respond because they accidentally put a 3 div item into the 5c box, is, well...
Gold cost to put items up for sale is good solution, kinda what LE does. Altho, once you have millions of gold its not an issue. However i guess it would make life harder for price fixers as you cant just give gold between accounts and thus need to "farm" the gold on each bot account. ___ Hoo there wanderer...
