Unpopular Opinion: League Challenges Should Require Solo Completion

^no.....no you don't need that.

You need SOME of that for SOME content. More for pinnacle content.

99% of challenges are NOT pinnacle content that requires any of that crap.


And guess what? These are CHALLENGES!!! They should push builds to their limit anyway. The MORE required out of you the player to earn the challenge, the better designed it is. Except mindless grind challenge that only tests your time.


And most of what you said you actually have needed on builds for like...7 years now.

You need armor or evasion
you need high health pool
Then you need 2nd layer of block or suppres or best both
Heavily overcapped resistances because of debuffs
at least 85% max res
you need some sort of sustain so either leech or regen
Reduced curse effect/curse immunity
ailment immunity
bleed immunity
poison immunity
Source of crit damage taken reduction
over time you need to fit more stuff into builds without getting that many more slots, you could have said about people having scuffed builds before archnemesis when you could run t16 towers with barely capped resistances and 2500 health on a ranger


Honestly, I’m not sure who or what you’re talking about, but you’re taking the L here. There’s almost no difference between Archnemesis league and now, just some new content that got added or changed over time, but nothing that truly made T16, pinnacle, or Uber fights require more checkmarks.

When people say “scuffed builds,” it’s not about missing a checklist of every defensive stat. It’s about having an unbalanced character, one that can’t output decent damage while being reasonably durable. Builds like full ZHP or ZDPS without damage or defense to back it up? That’s just scuffed.

If anything, it’d be more accurate to say T16 was way harder many years ago, with decent gear being much scarcer, 6-links not freely available, far less player power overall and T16 maps definitely not being day 2 free self-sustainable content.

These days, T16 maps mostly just need a solid passive tree, decent gear synergy (which often comes from the random loot you pick up during atlas progression), and a reasonable skill setup. So no, you don’t have to cram more and more into your build, if anything, you can fit less, thanks to all the player power available now.

And with how easy endgame has become, it’s about time to have challenges that are designed around endgame be only achievable upon own completion, not carry runs, and if that's not possible for players despite all the access? Well simple Mark solution: Deal with it.
