Validating with every launch (Steam)

Every time I start the game, Steam wants to validate the game files. If I exit and then re-enter, I will again validate. This is extremely frustrating, as it takes about 5 minutes every time before I can launch into the game. This is after the latest patch. Is there any advice available? Then, also constantly after clicking start at the server selection menu within the game, it says the game requires an update, I have to click and click and click until it lets me in! Why????
