My Opinion on the Forum Moderators

From my time lurking the forums whenever im not playing PoE, i pretty much just click on whatever interests me. Lately ive been seeing an awfull lot of forum mods posting helpful tips, info etc. PoE(currently) in my opinion has the best forums/forum mods of any game ive ever played. I am more than happy with PoE and its team.
Thank you guys for all your hard work and dedication. It is better to die for something than live for yourself.

Yeah I would have to say that PoE has the best forums that I have seen to date and that says a lot from a forum junky.
Please don't pm me asking for beta keys :)

We have good mods but the forums themselves will get damn ugly when Open Beta comes. That's par for the course though.

We do have awesome mods, agreed easily. They do a good job of providing information and keeping things in order. Hopefully that will stay true once open beta starts and the flood gates are released.

Yeah, the moderators here are great. They are all volunteers, so they deserve heaps of praise.

I have to say, I would never have accepted the position of forum moderator had it not been for the amazing community, epitomised by my 'seniors', the mods at the time. I think, though, it's all a bit chicken and eggy, since the mods themselves are first and foremost members of the community as well.
That said, I believe if you were to somehow silence the mods, the amount of friendly, helpful posts wouldn't drop in any significant way. But yes, early days yet. I am thankful beyond words that so many of you are aware that we may face some turbulent times, and that you'll hopefully stick around and continue to make our job, as moderators, first and foremost a real pleasure and honour. Thank you, and thank you too! :) If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

It is indeed impressive and refreshing to see active, helpful mods.
Perhaps someone should keep this thread saved so that when the floodgates open and all hell breaks loose, they can link to this and reminisce about when the mods had an easier job and were beloved? |

Modding any board can be more of a chore than many folks would want to handle. Modding a gaming forum, well... We're all very fortunate to have the mods we do. The dun hold themselves above the rest of us, they share our love of the game (among other interests), and they are always glad to help. =^[.]^=
