3.26 Kingsmarch gold cost

The gold costs of Kingsmarch workers are way too high.
I think the idea is that Kingsmarch is no longer mandatory, but a new league mech you can specc into and farm, or not. Like anything else, you can fully devote yourself to it and farm it for the rewards, or not, you can farm something else. Or, you just use a single aspect of of the mechanic. I'm just growing crops and sending out the odd ship or two for some extra currency or the occasional lucky div.

I think some people are still just stuck in the mindset of Kingsmarch being mandatory to run fully from Settlers league, and this is just not the case this time around.

If we want to be extremely pedantic, technically you can.

Allflame Ember of the Gilded from Catarina converts mob gear drops into gold. You'd have to sacrifice some map juicing by swapping a scarab out with it, but it should bag you a lot of coin depending on how juiced the map is.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.
below average player here, i can not get more then 8hrs worth gold in my weekend. and my workers are only on level 2/4 this is rediculous!

you can't sustain gold costs for kingsmarch because your mercenary takes 25% of your gold income

your Kingsmarch is already fully-upgraded

if you were starting fresh you wouldn't be able to hire high-ranked dudes and fill your entire settlement with them until you were late in the game

you are hiring too many high level guys

hire low-level people who don't cost as much and you won't have any problem sustaining gold

you're blaming GGG because you hired people who demand more pay than you can give them
The meta for trade league is to 100% completely ignore miners, smelters, and mappers. The returns are not worth your time. Ever.

Ironically, GGG is absolutely 100% going to have to nerf currency shipment rewards so Kingsmarch will be completely worthless outside of SSF in 3.27. You're not going to have to worry about gold costs ever again.

(I still have mappers running constantly as a test. It's not worth it despite hitting multiple enlightens and maybe a dozen raw div.)
They can at least remove the gold cost for currency exchange and recombinator.
Workers and gambling are more than enough as a gold sink.
