intel 285k insane spikes since 3.26 patch update caused by engine multithreading

alright i will give that a try and report back tomorrow, one short question tho, intels site says 250w max, can that be correct? so i set max watt to 250?
250w for both should be fine. Lots of the information I found out there said to use 253 for both so I went with that. I haven't crashed since making the change (and was crashing every 10-15 minutes on the lowest settings before).
i just checked, the auto options in the bios are indeed already set to 250w, so this is most likely not cause of the issue

i also havent crashed more than maybe once or twice (the regular amount for poe) in nearly half a year, so everything is stable.
just those massive cpu usage variations depending on the start instance of the game.
the more spikey the cpu is ingame, the more spikey the cpu usage in the taskmanager is aswell.
during a nearly flat line with some spikes its between 5 and 6% in the login screen, while an instance with extreme spikes jumps between 5 and 14%

its also not core and thread managing, since i also tried to manually put the game on the right cores, didnt solve it.

theres a good chance that i'll try to set up a dual boot with some linux distro just to make sure it isnt windows either.

but at this point im very sure that its on gggs end, at least when it comes to intels newest gen since its fundamentnally different to the ones before plus nearly no one uses it so theres barely any testing, ggg probably didnt even test the game on those.

i was very paranoid after this started happening in poe2 after the 0.2 since it was totally fine on 0.1, so paranoid that i logged into poe1 a few days before the league patch plus on the league launch day and made totally sure that it isnt happening there either, and it was totally normal and fine. a few hours later, not even a pc restart in that timeframe, just the 3.26 patch -> same issue as poe2 0.2, exact same.

i guess i can only hope that ggg will look into it or switch to amd if i dont wanna deal with this issue

I have exactly the same problem as the author of the thread, it all started after the update 0.2 and 3.26. Version 0.1 and 3.25 worked without any problems.
Auto options in the bios set to 250w. Сhanging any settings in the game does not bring any results and before all this started I did not change anything either.
Sorry for my language, not my native

I run Linux Mint 22.1 and I am having issues with CPU power as well. I haven't looked at my BIOS settings (first I'm seeing of that as a suggestion is today). The game runs fine for 30-45 minutes and then gets choppy, with framerate diving from 75 fps to 25-35.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT (8 GB VRAM)
RAM: 32 GB

tried a few more things like no xmp

one thing ive noticed tho is, during the first ~2sec, while the graph shows shader and ssd usage, the cpu is behaving normal, stable at 2ms, 0 spikes, the second the ssd and shader usage in the graph goes to 0 the cpu starts spiking
Same issue, i7-14700k, my graph looks very similar to the screenshots OP has provided, also started with 0.2.
does it vary extremely with every game launch too? like some launches its close to before the patch and most launches its just a spike fest

Same for me as well. I have Ryzen 5600 with 32GB RAM. I have really high CPU usage, shaders are not loading at all. It's unable to play at this point. I might have wait for fix or something.

Not so much with game launches but rather with PC restarts.
Once it begins (2-5 hours after PC has been started) I have to restart the PC to make it go away. Game restarts don't help for me.
