The Beta Manifesto
I'm not sure that a tutorial is strictly necessary, given the strength of this community and the nature of the game (ARPGs aren't considered casual, are they?) Games like Minecraft and Dwarf Fortress (can be) overwhelmingly complex, and I think the lack of hand-holding lends excitement to the experience. I realize that it is a very popular, modern trend to walk characters through the basics of movement and equipment and the like, but nothing I've seen about POE suggests that it wants to be an introduction to the genre... I'd think that role more applicable to D3, Drakensang or Torchlight. Basically, if you've got the resources, go for it... but I don't think leaving it as afterthought is going to hurt you in the slightest.

Having some tutorial popups in the corner is probably enough for anyone to figure out how to play. I haven't played it yet, but judging from a video I've seen of the first level, it's very easy so there's no need to create an actual tutorial area.

A useful road map, thanks Chris.
On a personal note, Compare Items and Custom Mouse Cursor get a +1 :) I used to be apathetic, now I just don't care.

Love the interaction between players and developers. If only more developers would be so open.
