A Question Concerning Dual Wielding

Is a character considered dual wielding, i.e. will she get all the bonuses from any dual wielding passives, if she has two one handed weapons equipped, regardless of weapon class?

In other words, does the weapon class have to match with both weapons (wand/wand, dagger/dagger, sword/sword), or is it possible to mix and match, and still get all the bonuses from dual wielding (wand/dagger, sword/dagger, etc.)?
Yes, any 2 weapons will count as dual-wielding.

Also note that you can't equip both a ranged and a melee weapon at the same time, so no wand/dagger combos.

Actually, Wand/Dagger was specifically what I wanted to do on my Shadow.

I was thinking about making a Flicker Strike/Power Siphon/Lightning Warp/Frost Wall build - with a Wand in one hand, and a Dagger in the other.

Oh well, I can still buff Wands and Daggers directly, without going into dual wielding skills.

This is not possible. The only way to dual wield wands is to dual wield wands. You cannot combine a melee weapon with a wand, I'm afraid. It'd be nice, but it currently can't be done. I tried to do dagger+wand myself. No go.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.
I remember the time when it was possible to equip both a wand and 1handed sword :P

It depends on the target's range from you.
If it's far away it will use the wand and when it's close enough, it will use the sword and sometimes both the wand and sword. But mostly just the sword.

That's so awesome. Torchlight 1 does that. Makes me feel like a space marine from warhammer 40k, or something. =S
Why remove something like that? I mean that's great, isn't it?
