How To Dunk Like Jordan! (Physical CI Melee for Dummies!)(Ridiculous Survivability and Damage)

Give some other infos about those pics you posted.
1 hit every 3 seconds ? You're exaggerating... Only faster attacks and 3-4 frenzy charges will give you a great boost in your attack speed. As far as damage goes I can't answer cause my witch is only 66 with no damage nodes taken yet so I can't answer that. I don't care about tooltip dps though 'cause act3 monster die in 1-2 leap slams. And who said anything about multistrike ? Multistrike with leap slam is simply annoying. OP's build is a simple one.He bought his best items recently so it was a cheap one also until recently. If OP can't stop bullshitting about his armor, what makes you think anything else he says is truthful?

I am deeply sorry to have taken a slight hiatus from this guide, as I was busy with IRL shit, as it seems two gentlemen have decided to try to use theory crafting to refute a fact.
In addition, streaming did not end up working out, my computer couldn't handle over 700 bitrate, so the quality was horrible and it was lagging me out :/. I guess I just need a better machine. If someone could post how to take screen shots like those Leap/Ground Slam DPS figures I would highly appreciate it! Currently I have 1.14 Attacks per Second, with just 11% IAS gloves (NOT including Frenzy Charges generated from Blood Rage!) (Also --- Multistrike + Leap Slam causes too much Desync to be Viable). With Molten Shell + Granite (Yes, I do have both up all the time, one of the perks of CI is having 4 Granites...) I have 34832 (roughly 35k) Armor Currently (12728 Armor with just Shell)(28782 Armor without the Shell)(new belt + gloves lowered my Armor total). DPS on Tooltip is 13k, but the true strength is the actual numbers, which are roughly as follows: 6300-10000 Physical Damage 2100-3300 Cold Damage Anger Wrath (depends on aura level, usually about 300 per each one, pretty negligible) This means, that where I lack large damage over time (as in sustained boss-damage), I have huge burst damage, allowing me to 1-shot or nearly 1-shot (depends on what I am attempting to do, mostly I nerf myself a bit to make sure the MF'er gets to cull) Any white/blue mob, ensuring party safety from smaller damage spikes. Also, the large amount of damage allows leech to be highly effective with Vaal Pact, causing Huge damage spikes to be ineffective against me, unless they occur more then 1.14 times a second (faster than I can attack to leech to full from any point of ES). That, on top of the 8k or so ES I have causes it to be much more powerful then a life build, along with the innate ES regen ability. In my humble opinion, this is one of the best builds to abuse Vaal Pact with. Furthermore, the boost from strength in the tree is easily negated by the HUGE multiplier that Melee Damage on Full Life is, + its quality is even more Damage. The Idea of the build is not to do sustained damage, such as a Cleaver does, but to do large burst damage, on the terms of a Discharger (which this is currently about as strong as/if not faster. I have raced dischargers in party maps and it gets quite close and heated). For sustained Damage, a Multistrike, Melee Phys, Melee Phys on Full Life, Faster Attacks, Added Fire Single-Target Attack (aka Glacial hammer, Infernal Blow, Etc. Take your pick) can be used for around 30k Dps. Also, I would appreciate it if you stopped flaming me Bumblebutt, as you have done similarly to other threads for similar CI Melee builds, and act like you know everything, when I doubt you yourself even play a CI Melee currently (seeing as you sold your gear in Anarchy). To wrap this all up, expect an update for a non-Carnage Heart build coming soon, as I am saving for a 6L Marohi to dump my Carnage at the moment, and about halfway there. Also, to whomever mentioned it, with all of the recent changes to CI, I would no longer recommend this as a premier beginner build, as a total of about 1000-1200 flat ES is necessary to make the build tick. Why so much agressivity ?
Yes, this kind of build (melee CI) DOES come together VERY late (usually somewhere between lv64 and lv80) depending on the class and the kind of attack you want to specialize at, because you can't witch to CI before you have enough points to get decent ES and all the prerequisites nodes (VP, GR, IR). I've tried CI Leap Slam templar, CI Flicker Ranger (most funny build ever) and CI Cyclone Duelist. If you can bear with the lengthy HP-based levelling before you switch to CI, they're all viable. Of course, you can't afford to take a lot of damage nodes and you have minimal strength (160-200), but in return, you get Chaos immmunity and instant ES leech (meaning no reflect insta-gib), free Blood Rage and on the item side, no uber-super uniques that most people can't afford. This gives serious survivability, provided you can manage your flasks to keep your armor up and dispel any shitty status quick. Which isn't too much to ask when the rest of the gameplay is simple. |

Marohi 3D art is dissapointingly SMALL! :(
Meanwhile, trying out a no-Carnage, Eye of Chayula versoin atm. Currently have roughly similar dps, but 9.3k ES. Pretty sweet. Ign: TheMidgetCow (Level 88.8 CI Leapslam Templar --- Default)

My Current Tree is actually deviating from the guide.

This is the tree, it allows me to use an Eye of Chayula and get a HUGE amount of extra ES over the other build. With this build, at level 90 I will have just shy of 10k ES (possibly more), although if I had a shield with 500 ish ES, I would have around 13-14k ES easily. I am not sure if this is better, but I certainly feel stronger against things like Map Piety/Vaal (I can take 2 Vaal Smashes now), and I am considering dropping a bit of ES for Extra Damage once I reach the 10k mark. Currently using soul taker for this to use a melee MF CI character, quite nice, deeps could be a bit higher but meh, no mana issues at all, can do almost any mods up to around level 71 - 72 maps, my gears below:
Looking to upgrade gloves at some point, also looking to upgrade chest, if I get fulled decked out gear, I end up getting around 7k ES which is good. Currently level 83 with 5.6k ES with this gear setup. Skill tree is below, using just the leech from Bloodrage but am profiting quite well of this and not really dying: http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgUBBbUMfQzyDq0QexB_ES8VIBXXGNsc3B0UIWAkiyftKLUo-imlKjgqTSsKLL8s6TIJNj09Dz8nQKBBh0NjQ5xGcUcGTdhWY1j1WfNbr19qYIhhUmaebqpxTXKpdPF6uHy7fNl_xoFvgseExIauh9uIa4rkjHaPRo_6kyeVIJmams-b7J3Enjyfy6XLpn-nCKyqrpOvbLGztAy0xbVItve3MbiTvjrAGsEAwcXC7MNtxPbFisae14bbGtvn3Q3rY-vu7BjtQe9O8931S_rS oh BTW MidgetCow - still looking to buy this?
