And that makes me wonder why we even have Name and Shame policy... For some reason my name haven't been brought up in scammer threads. Maybe because I don't scam? -_-

Name and Shame policy needs to be removed.

Just saying: if I was a scammer, I wouldn't use my main account. I would scam people from an extra account I made just for that sake. Hell, I might even make a character on that account, level it up to a decent place, and let it sit there, just so it seems legit.

However, I wouldn't do that--because I prefer to be a positive influence on other players' lives, not a negative one. Doesn't mean I can't think like a scammer in order to avoid them though.

That's the thing about naming-and-shaming: it really does nothing. It's like hitting "ignore" on a spam account. All you're doing is temporarily averting the problem--the spammer/scammer only needs to make a different account in order to do the exact same thing they have already been doing. So, one of the reasons for the Name and Shame policy is for forum cleanliness. And that is by far not the *only* reason.

No... but in controled environment Scammer List could work. With proper evidence attached to the reports would solve the false naming.

Fair call - from one perspective. There shouldn't be any reports in the first place though. There is a system there to stop anyone being scammed.

Fair point also.

Yet i still think it should be punished. If some1 were to act similarly IRL, he'll be sure to get sentenced for several years in the jail. Don't see how the same thing can be done legally in a game. Where ppl invest the same time working for their stuff, as they do at their Jobs.

Could be also easily solved.

Please email support@grindinggear.com with names and specific details of players catching other players unaware in trades.

I'm sorry this happened to you. Next time someone cancels a trade window mid-trade, please remember to assume that they are probably trying to change the item on you. A lot of threads i see are players changing the items after it has been placed in the trade window.
