Anyhow, PoE is currently the 19th most played game on Steam, the worlds largest gaming platform, and finds itself besides titles like Destiny 2, FIFA 22 and ARK. I dont understand why you would say it's ok to be small, then be in defiance when anyone says maybe PoE would be better off small, or is small in comparison to another title. Stop being defensive if that's what you really think, unless you just want to argue and play devils advocate.

Really do you want PoE to be massively popular or not? Im fairly certain in the past we have discussed this due to the huge casual vs elite player gulf that has been widening since Harvest. If I'm not mistaken, you have indicated that this isn't a good idea generally speaking, that PoE is likely better without many casuals, and maintaining a niche status. We actually agree here, and that was my point.

In my post that you quoted, that you conveniently left out, I indicated that it's ok for PoE not to be a widely played game. I wish the Devs, their marketing team, and the community, would understand this a bit better, rather than constantly pitted against each other.

Edit: and it's more like 60/40 Steam Users vs client based on the data. So its true the large majority play PoE via Steam.

If you're talking game only, maybe - but my best friend who I am playing PoE with has a girlfriend sitting 2 feet from him, she started Lost Ark. And she literally spent more time in the qeue than in the game on the weekene and still to this day he has to turn on her PC 90min before she comes home to enter the game somewhat timely due to unresolved qeue- and serverproblems.

I mean... I wouldn't call this a bug per se, but it's damn unenjoyable

This is true with EU players for sure.

I've been on US East, havent had a single queue or connection related issue. I do think however that perhaps they didnt anticipate the response the game would get on this scale. I think it was like 5 million new players in three days or something insane. On top of the couple million early access founders.

Its unfortunate to be fair, but at the very least understandable given the numbers.

Yup, that's a minimum of two hundred and fifty million players each month, not 2.5 or 25, and yes, it's almost a billion of pure profit (yes, after all running costs are taken out) per year :P

And CC is still growing, especially profit (!)

Following that logic, Candy Crush is WoW, PoE, LostArk, Dying Light 2, New World, Cyberpunk, D2, D3, D2R, and I bet also D4 serial killer, because it has now more players and has made more money, than all of those games listed ever had, including WoW... put together :D

rather tencent ggg is poe killer ;) they destroy this game. completely. Till tencent buyout ggg qulity and sanity of this game fall under the sea level
