Awakened Poe trade question
Hello,
I see that on the official poe wiki on this site: https://pathofexile.fandom.com/wiki/List_of_Path_of_Exile_related_applications awakened poe trade is mentioned. On the same page stands also that there may only be links mentioned to other sites that not violate the ToS. So, that would mean that this app -when it is used just as a price checking tool without changing the settings- is not against the ToS. Can this be confirmed? Please a more detailed answer then only "we do not encourage using this", because so many streamers and other people use this tool and like more clearity. Thanks in advance! Live your Life. Hey there hendrik16, I've sent you a private message about this now. :)

" hey can you send it to me too? |

Hey Exxxiled665, I'll post my response here for the benefit of anyone else that may also have the same question.
In general, we do not encourage the creation or use of third-party tools because they provide advantages for players that use them. Due to the dynamics of our policies, I'm afraid we're unable to guarantee if a tool is allowed or would remain allowed in the future. I would recommend refraining from creating or using any programs that automates or does more than one action with a keystroke or mouse click as well as anything that interacts with the game client to provide an advantage over other players or provide information that isn't normally visible. If you (or anyone else reading this!) have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at support@grindinggear.com. :) |

Awakened POE does not automates or does more than one action with a keystroke or mouse click as well as anything that interacts with the game client to provide an advantage over other players or provide information that isn't normally visible.
Or am I wrong? It is even on the official wiki. Live your Life. Love your Life.

" There is no "official" WiKi since GGG doesn't have anything to do with it. It's all "fan based" like PoB is..... |

" As pointed out Wikis are NOT official, GGG has little to no input on them and they are all fan maintained. As for awakend PoE, this is a prime example of why GGG won't give a straight answer. It has been OK to use for a long while upto the point where several people managed to execute something through it to spam the trade API to the point that people could not use the trade sites for days (effectively DDoSing the API) at that point GGG were forced to take action and banned people (even warned them though it is unclear if it was everyone), while they investigated further they unbanned the people that were using the tool as per normal and enforced the ban on the handfull of people that were using it in a way that was unintended, after the the tools author changed it so it couldn't spam the API and it has been fine to use since. So in this case it was fine to use, then not fine, the ok again, if GGG stated it was fine to use then people would try to weasel out of justified bans for misusing it. As such any reply about" <whichever too you want to use> ok to use" will always be "we don't encourage it so don't risk your account" (there was something that happened with one of the early hack tools, a lot of people were trying/successfully evading bans because it came bundles with "QoL" options, with the claims " i wasn't using it to cheat i was only using it for <bs excuse>, this resulted in GGG issuing all the users of said tools with a warning when they logged in to cease using it or be banned, and they banned the idiots that continued to use it) Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

So, if I use Awakened poe trade as intended, just for casual price checking; it is safe?
I mean, almost everyone is using this tool. Let's say, when you do a price check once in a while (not every sec, even not every minute) it is quite safe I asume? (because then it is not against the ToS) Thanks for all the feedback! Live your Life. Love your Life.

" that's the best guess at the moment..... |

Safe? Probably, but there is always the possibility GGG with change their policy without notice to you making what is "safe" now a violation of the ToS. The dev of APoET could in an update cause the entire program to violate the ToS without the users being aware of what it's doing in the background. Nothing is guaranteed, but so far the vast majority of people using it use it without issue.
