you really think Someone buying a 800 euro drawing tablet for his side hobby think 200 euro monitor screen is too expensive for him ?(guess what, I also have wide screen that fit the graphic tablet). I myself If I wanted to could stretch POE into 3 screen giving me insane pov during Royal/pvp.

I am not like some here, I actually think about others. But if you think my estimation of 200 was still too high suit you well, put it lower. Hell unless those screens are free just cap the resolution and be done with it :)

I still think those monitors are pay2win simply because we have organized competition like Royal with prizes and those give unfair advantages.

Poe should have locked resolution for real competitive game like royal.

you just didint get it...
the price is totaly irrelevant

there will always be differences in hardware based on what ppl can afford and this will always be an advantage
it simply isnt just the monitor

poe isnt a professional sport,it isnt a job....
there is absolutely no reason to artificially lower the performance for some ppl just to make it fair...

its a game for fun even though we got some events with cash prizes, whats next? limiting the game time in events? even than you still have ppl that can play at the event time, that isnt fair either...
and time is a lot more relevant than the monitor (like a good internet connection)

but lets say you even do that, what about the age of players ? younger/healthier have an advantage
do you want to limit the amount of commands a player can give their charr per minute?

there will never be fair or rather equal conditons
its pointless to even attempted it...

Facepalm.

This topic is probably the dumbest thing I heard in my entire month (considering I had to work night shifts during Christmas and New Year). Instead of embracing tech advances, let's make communism and just shit on others and tickle some random Joe feelings. If it involves competitive mode then obviously some limitations should be in place for this super PvP oriented ultra-competitive game. So instead suggest that and not "cripple other people's PC gear functionality".

I did not get a monitor just to have in games black bars on the side. It is 2021, not 1998. I like how peripheral vision is full of in-game action and not just void space or PC box or anything else. It is a step up as it was from 1080p to 1440/4k or 30fps to 100/200+ fps. Also, it is insane QoL watching multiple videos, websites and using editing software.

You are giving the wrong suggestions.

They can make enemies players be faded/invisible + damage falloff at a certain universal range. That is obviously possible, considering examples from all those bugs in the past 5 or so leagues. But for FFS - keep my screen filled with stuff and not cropped or deformations (stretching).
• Fo shizzle ma nizzle
Please stop anything above 1024*768 and also limit the size on the monitor to 15 inch, because my GF has a monitor with that resolution and the size is typical for laptops.
Maybe even 13.3 inch?

Optimize PoE to work with integrated graphics from ten years ago and slow it down so my ping of around 60ms won't matter.

I can think of a few other factors like refresh rates and input delay. Also you should only be allowed to use three buttons of your mouse!

If widescreens bother you: Why don't you use 32:9 on a 16:9 display? The programs are available to do so..

It is pay to win because this game have Royal and some prize event, when people with ultra wide can see other players before they see them this is P2win.

I dont think this is a big deal. Majority of rewards and competition happens in PvE. PvP has far bigger balance problems than ultra wide screens.
