Why the removal of Prophecies makes me less likely to pick up PoE again
because you are a big overreacting baby?
I'm glad they are getting removed, i've not even interacted with Navali in over a year for prophecy stuff, i don't pick up coins now and i have a few tabs full of sealed prophecies that i've just not bothered with. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

" "because you are a big overreacting baby?" Some players enjoy chasing Prophecies, and if the mechanic wasn't so... opaque... it's possible more would, as well. I still don't understand precisely how the mechanic works (even the most current Wiki doesn't explain how Prophecies proc, for example), but I get plenty of enjoyment out of some of them. Now how about dropping the kindergarten name-calling and try to understand that your opinion isn't the only one? =9[.]9= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

The only thing I will miss from prophecy is the twins prophecy because it juices maps to a rediculous degree.

i think the decision to remove prophecy is wrong, because
* they spent supporter money on the art and voice work which is wasted now * they confirm that they can be blackmailed by reddit hippsters insisting that "the game is bloated" * they destroy efforts of players who invested into prophecy before poe's economy exists because players can't be bothered to do all content extensively, you have to trade for the missing parts from players who specialised into the respective content. which touches a sensitive topic: a multiplayer game can either have a functioning economy OR it has a equally good game mode where players can beat the game solo. turning poe into a ssf compatible arpg destroys it's economy if they don't cripple the trading procedure to a point where players are heavily discouraged to play the trading game age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" Or they could go an extra thousand miles of work and have two game modes : - One dedicated to the trading mini game that the 1% loves - One dedicated to solo players whom won't ever trade but still want to finish the game / build without spending 1000h in the game... Problem is that GGG needs to keep track of different balance between the modes. Problem 2 : They don't know how to even balance the game in general... Path of Exile is a Casino for gambling addicts. Gambling is not fun nor a game mechanic... Last edited by Azarhiel#6045 on Dec 4, 2021, 2:28:18 AM

I think the decision to remove Horseback Riders and Stage coaches from the US Postal system is wrong, because
* they spent supporter money on the infrastructure which is wasted now * they confirm that they can be blackmailed by hippsters insisting that "horses and buggies are outdated and will be going away anyhow". * they destroy efforts of customers who invested into the infrastructure of watering holes, stables, blacksmiths and other investments before . . . |

While I'm all for uncluttering the game by removing stuff which isn't popular, it's a huge shame to see prophecy go. Not because it's so good, but because it had soooo much potential. When people got kinda bored of it (towards the end of p league), there were loads of threads on how it could be expanded to revive a lot of old content. Fated uniques were a great way to breathe new life into dated uniques, letting a prophecy add the interesting parts of scrapped league contents to a map was much anticipated. Etc...
And then: nothing happened for so long that prophecy remained mostly boring. A similar story happed with Perandus. He was supposed to be a clever way to add a small chance to get legacy uniques or access exotic bosses whose leagues were scrapped. Nope. It feels a bit like how big companies are run nowadays: No manager ever fixes stuff anymore. They all just sell off parts which no longer perform well and buy small companies to get stuff which works better. So much easier than fixing things, I guess. But so much less impressive. Ah well, I haven't played PoE in more than half a year, been enjoying an old classic I played way back when I was at varsity. Haven't read anything to make me want to return yet. Still hope GGG changes things for the better one day, PoE used to be really good and I miss it. Have fun and good drops, SB May your maps be bountiful, exile
