How to link items in forum?

I use the Opera browser and get nothing scrolling to the bottom but clicking on my character at the top takes me to my characters. There I can find the item I want to link into my post. The part I was missing was that when I use my back button to go back to the post I'm typing nothing new was showing but I figured out that if I click on the forward button on my mouse I will get a screen refresh and then I can see the "linkItem location=..." code embedded in my post and it works. Thanks.
