Game has become unplayable on my rig, I need help building a new pc able to run this game.
I have an i9 10900 2.8ghz, 32gb ddr4 3200ghz, SSD NVME 1TB, RTX3070 GPU with 650w PSU
The game ran perfect before this last patch. I play off of the singapore realm and live in Thailand. My old computer was virtually unplayable it was an i7, 16 gb ddr4 and an GTX750 GPU It would crash in every delirium encounter, disconnect constantly, lag etc........... this computer ran the game perfectly until 3.14.2 |

The last update had made the game freeze at every monster pack generations. The worst case happens in conqueror influenced maps. You freeze at every step, and you should worry about sudden death at every fight.
This league is definitely broken. The worst I had experienced. The Ultimatum is absolutely an ultimatum indeed. |

Look man, POE is very weird i've read about cases with rly high end pcs with poor results. In my case, and dont ask me why im running poe just fine with a AMD RYZEN 5 1600 (AF) at 3.49ghz 16gb ram, corsair vengeance 3000mhz an SSD of 120gb dedicated to poe and RX 570 4GB GPU. That's it, it's not even medium range and runs fine. Again, POE is weird af

" This is what I fear the most, doing a big investment into a new computer and still have the same or similar problems... I guess we can only wait for next patch and hope for the best. I am running an AMD 3950x with a 5700xt and 32gigs of ram and for me the game runs buttery smooth with very little FPS issues (ie the game barely hiccups). Every once in a blue moon the game gets a little janky but nothing like what others have described.
But also take their advice worth a grain of salt, and mine as well. I have been in IT for over 30 years. I know how to build a rig. I know from memory what to make sure is turned off in the background on my rig to make things run smoother. I know from memory what settings to tweak on my network card to smooth out data transfer speeds and so many other settings that it takes me a week or more to remember them all when I build a new machine. Most people do not. There could be compatibility issues with certain driver version for certain cards (Hint, look for the 5700xt card thread in this forum)that will have an impact on the game and not be GGG's fault at all. There are way too many factors to just assume it's on GGG's end alone. The only people who come to this part of the forum are those that are having issues - while the rest don't because they are fine. I have been playing fin on my rig since I built it. Asking what to buy is just kinda silly, with all due respect. If you are going to spend hard earned money, get the most bang for your buck. Try and make the rig as future proof as you can. Read reviews of chipsets. Read reviews of Vid cards. If you have specific questions about specific products and how it may stack up to something else, those are good questions to ask. I went full on robot chubby when I built my rig, because I could. I spent over 2 grand on it. But it's also way future proof. AT MOST, I'll have to maybe buy a new vid card in a few years. No one in their right mind NEEDS a 16 core 32 thread CPU for gaming, especially now. Moral of the story:
You need to be a skilled IT specialist to play this game. Good to know. This is a buff © 2016

No, the moral of the story is this game CAN run on anything new. There are just way too many factors to say if such and such will work well or not. I have a video card that used to run this game like complete and utter garbage, but works fine now. The best thing to do is come up with a few options and ask questions about each individual piece for comparison.

So you basically mean that coders released user unfriendly/unoptimized/unstable product.
If the user is supposed to fine tune soft/hardware settings/options in an attempt to fix permanent or intermittent failures triggerend by a whole variety of side factors, you may be right. This is a buff © 2016 The Experts ™ 2017 Last edited by torturo#7228 on May 28, 2021, 8:03:55 AM

" Please, do tell me that was a google translator, and not you trying to sound cleaver using random big words... 1. Coders ain't releasing a thing, publishers are, also this isn't matrix. 2. settings/options=same thing... 3. PC users should tinker with their hardware and software to either maintain or optimize performance. E/g fresh windows 10 install has at least 3 different ''features'' built in that should be killed almost immediately because they degrade performance in games across the board. Even basic things such as adjusting GPU settings is tuning hardware and software performance, if you are not doing either, you'd be better off getting a console since you are treating your computer as a plug-and-play device, which they are not. In fact not fine tuning and maintaining your hardware and software is where most performance and system glitches show up. 4. I am running 2060 super oc 8gb with 3.2ghz 16gb ram and ryzen 5 @ 4.3 ghz OCd, either it's my luck or perhaps the fact that my pc is not a dumpster of random files that i never tinker with or maintain, but my game is actually running perfectly fine... No rest for the wicked.
