Patch Notes - 3.14.1d Hotfix 2 - Forum

hmm, when the vram patch first dropped, everything seems to be great - texture issue are far far far less. but subsequent patches (counter 2, one 40mb ish then one 35mb ish) seems to revert my game back to the old texture situation... guess I gonna try purge cache or whatever later. When its reaching it GPU Limit = crash Do you mind to reverse those "texture streaming" which you implemented in 3.13? Its horrible since, prior this hotfix the texture were just blurry and horrible looking, now its the client is crashing when texture are filling up the Vram. I can't play at all anymore, it crashes right after the grinding gears logo, using Proton 5.0.7 alyx-2, that worked fine before. I can sort of start game with Proton Experimental but then i have no sound. edit: Actually can't start with experimental anymore either. I am playing on a Mac and this recent "hot fix" has killed the graphics/loading for me...all the textures are heavily pixelated/blocky...some of the monsters are invisible (except for their health bars). This graphic issue is very similar to the problems I was experiencing early on in the 3.13 patch history (when the texture streaming was first introduced (?)). In addition to the poor graphic display, the game also will not load areas properly when running in full screen mode – the gears at the bottom of the screen will churn and churn forever, stuck on the static loading screen, but when I exit full screen mode, the proper area all of a sudden loads up right away, though of course in quite poor quality. I had not experienced these issues prior to this hot fix. It is quite discouraging to (twice!) be able to play this game at first and then have that ability taken away. I definitely have sympathies for others who have been (trying to?) playing this game for years and constantly experience these technical irregularities. Plz no more extra hotfixes... My game is crashing so frequently that i can hardly play now. Can we just rollback to pre 3.14.1d?
