Suggestion for improvements for POE 2: Difficulty Setting
Can't be done... If 'easy' tier players get the same rewards as 'hard' tier players, that will mean you can't have trading between the different tiers.
GGG would not want to split the player base that way... |

It s not a hard game. It simply cannot be a hard game when you clear the whole screen with 1 click. Yes it’s RNG gated, yes it’s very time consuming but it’s not hard

doesnt work with a multiplayer game with an economy
rewards bad players/exploiters to have easier gameplay = faster farming and progression to chase items. |

" Any skill these days can achieve that. I checked some of your characters and already see why you are failing to make a good character. It's not the games' fault. It's on you. You don't seem to be using diamond flask on most of your crit based character. That's the most important thing and you are missing it. Also you don't seem to level your characters higher than 80-85. Check on your flask management, it plays a big role. Builds faceroll maps on a 4L these days. |

A difficulty setting in PoE should grant both LESS drops and make them HIGH QUALITY at the same time to make it feel relevant from the looting aspect of ARPGs - scarcity increases difficulty, and makes every improvement amount to MORE ENJOYMENT.
It would make sense from a balance point of view, but we all know that TencentGGG still misses the mark by such landslides on most common sense aspects, I'm 99.99% sure they would fail implementing the "master" difficulty setting so badly, that it will be another PITA to deal with... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"... " 1. I can't level them higher. 1 Death wipes out all EXP progress. And maps just stop dropping (Have done 10 straight tier 14+ 20%quality alch/vaal'd maps and had absolutely no maps drop - not a single one. Zip. Nada.) I literally need to roll a new character to run lower tier maps to... get more maps. 2. I have very few crit-based characters. The ones that aren't are just as crappy / can't one-shot screens either. 3. Stuff is way too expensive in Standard (what I play in). 4. Lower difficulty settings come with much lower loot (both in quantity and rarity). I said this in the OP, but at least 2 replies so far failed to read that. What is it these days with people reading a thread title and spamming "REPLY" ? |

OP, the game has exactly what you want. Its called monster lvl in its most basic form. In addition to that you have a semi-gambling for making the game harder in specific ways for specific rewards - the league mechanics and map mods.
