does anyone know is there a way to get my money back from a trading scam?

I'm playing a aura stacking build in this league and the ilvl 84+ medium cluster jwl is around 35-40ex. I accidently and didn't pay enought attention when trading with the seller, and bought a mirrored one instead...(the one he/she listed is not mirrored)

Does anyone know if there is anything I could do? It's a lot of currency and I'm not that rich...

Thanks..

They encourage you to email support@grindinggear.com, but no direct action will come from your report. They *may* eventually take a glance at the account to look for other unrelated bannable activity.

No doxing, though. It's actually against the law in NZ and they would be required to delete it.

I don't have alpha access, that was a LONG time ago.

Thank you for the information
Scamming is an established PoE gameplay. Scammers are protected by GGG. Yes, to shut down the cries Support will accept a "Scamming" complaint, but that's all. Cut-throat environment, Wraeclast it is. Scamming is just a part of the game. Take it or leave it.
You accepted the trade, did you not?

saying someone's in-game name isn't doxing. the no-name-and-shame rule is a GGG rule, and in general, an every-other-game-on-the-planet's-forums rule.
forget about it, its to hard to prove scam. Even if you have video and pictures, they are not any proof today because you can make them in half an hour or less. And its very hard to notice the difference between original and edited photos/video with todays software.

Also "proofs" can be presented either way.

I really think they have bigger worries at this time than your "money".

Unfortunately, you didn't get scammed. You paid found an item on trade site, whispered them for it, and they gave it to you. You just weren't paying attention. You scammed yourself.
dude, you simply have paid for the life lesson.
Learning it will save you money in the future.
PoE nowadays looks more and more like a fan-made fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.
