Apparently Awakened PoE is getting people banned though. I remember a couple of threads awhile back about it and never seen any proof that it wasn't the cause.

Cool, cool. Been playing for a while now without it, not going to start now.

I didn't even d/l Path of Building until last league when I was having trouble getting PoE skill tree to work. Or maybe Emmett stopped updating it, I don't remember which. Anyway I'd never use anything that interacted with the client.

I don't watch many streamers, but when I do, I never notice anything illegal. A legal trade macro? Sure, most people are using those, me included. And a logout macro? I swear to God I read somewhere that they allow that too, as it in practice is only one server side action.

There is also that streamer who was banned for RMT'ing but because he was 'popular' they unbanned him. I won't say the name because I'm pretty sure it's against ToS to do so, but if you google you will find it.

That's a baseless claim and not true unless you can prove it.

You can however, click on the top PoE streamer at the moment and see auto-logout and trade scripts running. So in my view yes this is most assuredly happening.

Also a quick trip to the help and information forum section you will find a ton of bans (most related to a trade script that I wont mention)

These bans are taking multiple weeks to review and imo, GGG has done a terrible job explaining why, and how come it isnt impacting those that stream. It certainly looks like they review, see who it is, and then ban accordingly.

The auto logout is fine, albeit cheesy and makes hardcore players look stupid. As for trade scripts,tons of people have been using them for a LONG time. Just don't spam the trade api. Ever notice sometimes trade is slow? Yeah that's because the trade api is being spammed.

But more importantly according to your logic it's ok to call people out and not have to back up your claim or prove it.

People got account locked because of some kind of bug which caused millions of requests. And they got accounts back after the issue was solved.

The single action (like sending a chat message) per keystroke is also fine. You should not bind things like "ty" and "/kick" on single key press, however Awakened POE Trade do not allows that.

Not trying to, just trying to understand how things work. Unfortunately I do not know whether Awakened PoE trade falls under the exceptions that Bex mentions in that thread, because I do not know the inner workings of that program.

This was kinda my point earlier in the thread.

Dozens and Dozens of posts in the help section, not even considering those that didn't make a post or contacted support but didnt make a thread. Or those that just quit.

I mean 3 weeks of a ban while support considers your situation without telling you anything, only to have it reverted, is totally outrageous.

Think you would see Mathil, Quin, Cutedog or DatModz with a three week ban while they review the circumstances? No you fucking would not. In fact they would probably pop up in some internal review before any action was taken in the first place.

Again the optics are TERRIBLE.

Well of course they can't make an official comment on it, they'd be held accountable for any future actions if they say yes or no. And we all know that the rabid immature idiots that spew hatred on Reddit would go crazy.

What they need to do is make their own official trade api "macro" or "app" similar to what is offered now as a 3rd party.
Or in-between leagues make an official statement saying they're not allowed.

Or (tin foil hat time) they have a way of finding bots and rmt'ers from these 3rd party apps so they are allowed for the time being.
