Just died to the biggest bullshit i ever seen and i want to know how i fucking died

GGG made it pretty clear that since the vast majority of deaths are the rapid culmination of hits, they do not intend to create this function. If you die from a one shot, then you know. Otherwise knowing the last tick of some bleed dot killed you serves no purpose

From what i saw from various sources (have not played it myself yet),the China version has a pseudo death recap with a message "you got killed by <x>".
That in itself is mildly useful at best but not really. Maybe add some numbers to it like the monster-skill + damage that gave the death blow. In the case of Kitavas herald it would look like (when running extra elemental DMG maps): You got killed by Kitavas Herald KitavaDemonXMortar (dealing 2456 physical / 500 cold damage). Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. If it was a T16 and you are a sponge build (high ES/life only) pretty much any block of monsters will kill you instantly if they all actually hit you. Seed stacks are particularly bad for this because they all activate at once rather than spreading their attacks out based on initial aggro radius.
if you are CI without shock immunity too that effect is magnified by anything that does lightning damage as your bound to get a full shock the china versions recap feature is useful while simultaneously bad, knowing the hit that killed you can be very useful if it was significantly one thing, or like a huge attack you were meant to dodge etc however it was frequently be wrong. When its wrong people complain, they'd be on here instead of complaining about I want a recap it'd be its bullshit I died to a worm out of a barrel nerf nerf! You know there are already multiple ways to do this, right? For instance, PoE Overlay has one. I think the Steam overlay might have an option somewhere as well. And probably many other ways. But sorry, none of them are gonna make you feel better about your death. Nor prevent it. Cos ultimately what you want isn't a death recap, it's something to stew over and vent your rage at. I hear squish balls are good for that purpose...

"Confident, cocky, lazy, dead." (Tad Williams) You have ample time to activate the patch and then get out and let them shuffle about a bit so they don't all simultaneously attack you. That's 24 monsters all at once. While they don't do as much damage as the Shaper, you'll have a hard time to dodge and block them all. Bird lover of Wraeclast

Why is death recap or "combat log" is a really hard to implement and sci-fi feature in this game?Even a 15 years old WoW has this feature. YEah sure the very last hit that killed you with 10dmg doesnt really tell you what happened BUT what if you could just check the last 10 sec to see wtf happened to your ultimate immortal 100000 EX character in a "blink of an eye" would make much difference. So yeah this feature is mandatory and required because its fcnk annoying to die in some bllsht nonsense all the time from offscreen.

I got one-shotted by a full blue T1 field more than once because I was too dumb to get out of the way. They all fire at you at the same time so if you just stand there and take all the hits you die...
