what happens if u die?

Severely doubt it. I've "died" or closest to death as one can come in a dream. I remember one where I was shot in the forehead and everything went black and all I kept saying over and over again was "I can't believe this guy killed me". It was more like coma or something idk.

The simple answer is that when you die in PoE you respawn in the nearest town with all your gear, so no more corpse runs.

If you are playing hardcore, the same applies except you drop back to the default league.
