3.11 - Stress-Free PoE! TRIGGER HAPPY: No Required Items! 1-Button Play! SSF League Start-End!

This is my attempt at updating Wrecker's build.... I know its a mess... hoping ya'all will jump in and save me



This is a build based loosely on Wrecker_of_days https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2874618 Trigger Happy 1 button build, which he no longer updates. I have been playing a variation of this build for several seasons.

This is not intended as a meta build or min-max build, instead it is meant to let me play POE, at my own very slow speed. It relies on its main skill Bladestorm, supplemented by Riposte, Vengeance, Reckoning.

I am however looking to improve my build, especially its DPS.

Build’s main skill is Bladestorm with its new bleed mechanic I am trying to incorporate Bleed into this build, failing it appears as DPS needs improvement… I am not sure what I am actually doing, wrong.

I am currently only level 54 so there is room to change my build still for this season!

Note: You will notice Crimson Dance is not selected. I was told maybe incorrectly, with my limited use of Bleed, it would be counter productive, similar to the situation with Vaal Pact (which I do use) in that you need over leeching to make it effective. Is this true or do I want to select Crimson Dance?

Here are the items and skill gems below, with a few explanations and questions.

I am not using Brutality in any counter attack at the moment as I am using Lycoside Shield which adds 300 COLD damage to counter attacks. I am unsure if Brutality would nullify this effect. If it does not or I use a different shield, Chance to Bleed or Maim would be replaced with Brutality, which one?

Flesh and Stone states nearby enemies Maimed while in Blood Stance. Is this a 100% chance? Is it therefore a waste to use Maim in Riposte, Vengeance, and Reckoning? If yes, should I remove Maim, Brutality or ? Should replace it with?

I am not using Pride this season. Flesh and Stone’s increase in mana reservation makes it impossible for me to run Pride/Flesh and Stone with Blood and Sand (maybe with Enlighten’s at the end game I could, but far from there now). I am using “poor man’s Pride” Herald of Purity

I am currently using Vulnerability, Tempest Shield, and Hextouch. Is this a better choice than using support gems with Herald of Purity and/or Flesh and Stone? I have also considered swapping out Vulnerability/Tempest Shield/Hextouch for War Banner (as I do not have to use a second button to cast Tempest Shield any longer).

One Item Question! Circle of Guilt Ring, is it better to have Herald of Purity has 40%+ increased Buff Effect or 40%+ Increased Physical Damage While Affected by Herald of Purity?

I've finished my tweaks for the 3.14 Trigger Happy. I'm not sure if you'll like them but I'll post them right away for you.

Hi bud ik this is discontinued but i been enjoying it on xbox as it dont rely on trading much ive ended up 76% block with a 30% shield on how do i get my last 3% ive tripple checked the tree all blocks obtained any tips or help appreciated. Ps im not ssf so could buy X item

Holy smokes! I'm so sorry Chris! I totally thought I responded to this already! Ah!

Sorry to have you wait so long. I'm glad you've been enjoying the build. It's so fun for me too. I've been playing with different ideas on a third guide and really would love this to be it if I can make a few things work out.

I checked your characters and I didn't see any Gladiators in your character list. So maybe your gladiator is on a different account than the one that's posted. I too have to play the Xbox/PC account game.

So, without seeing anything it's hard to give a specific for you. So obviously the normal block cap is 75%. The 79% comes from one of the Gladiator ascendancy nodes. So if you're at 76%, you likely have the normal 75% block cap, and a mod on your gear that increases the max block chance by 1%.

That's the only thing I could think of.

Sorry the answer was so delayed and vague. I really thought I already replied.

In regards to console trading, I LOVE SSF. So I like to make all my builds capable with the basic gear the game gives you. So when I post a guide, if you like it, you'll be able to tackle it easy on console.

I was actually playing with Trigger Happy last night! I've been bouncing off the walls with different ideas the past few leagues:

- having the 3 counter-attacks in the 6-link
- having the counter-attacks in one 4-link and have lots of other supports
- having all counter-attacks in their own separate 4-links, like the original build...but then what to do then?

- I REALLY want General's cry to work. Taunting with a max block build makes perfect sense on paper. And it works REALLY well for clearing. But as soon as I hit a boss that doesn't hit much, things slow too much. If the boss has any regen on it, including Maven, the boss isn't killable. (I can't get enough damage and block chance on the tree if I invest in warcry cooldown.) "casting" once every 4 seconds isn't good enough for life-regen bosses. General's Cry also doesn't let me squeeze in Fortify.
- So I'm kind of back to the original setup of "self-attacking". But I'm still all over the map cause I really like the stress-free nature of an Instant General's Cry.

I know you didn't ask for any of this. But there it is :P.

For this league, I took some of your build, mainly the passive/self-triggering counter attacks, and mixed it up with spectral shield throw. I think you can look at my build by just clicking on my profile? Anywho, it is a work in progress but seems to be legit so far. Still optimizing but I guess that is a given if you are playing PoE. :P So far it is one to two skills being used a a time and that's it. Feel free to take a look at what I have brewing. Would like to hear your feedback especially if it is Wrecker worthy! :D
