How is the League Mechanic still in this shape

How is it that I lose the fog inside an Alva that is located inside an expanding breach, with an abyss running in the direction the fog is supposed to be going? How is it that I lose the fog while trying to coax away the swirling tornados chunking my ass that spawn every time I down a syndicate member in a delirium encounter? That last one is absolutely absurd. Why make the tornados spawn every single time and behave in that manner knowing the player will be unable to complete either the syndicate or the delirium encounter. I'm beginning to the think that the devs are not just absent minded when designing this stuff but they are actually sadists who take pleasure in torturing players. I think based on the track record and the overall theme of the game, this theory is highly plausible. The only thing that they "fixed" this league has been the mechanic that allowed players to have TOO much fun. Somehow that took priority over the dysfunctional crap negatively impacting gameplay experience. On a different note this league is very close to being one of the best of all time. When I don't waste 4 scarabs and a master mission to a bugged layout or unpredictable fog behavior I'm having quite a bit of fun. So please stop making videos showing off your working at home desks and FIX YOUR SHIT.

no matter what they change about the league it's still gonna be shit as long as you're on a timer

delirium implementation too often looks like a "shit i got 3 weeks left to get this started" league.

it just pisses me off that i have to click alva to prolong the timer, get attacked while i have to choose the boss to kill (and die sometimes doing it).

ggg's "speed Speed SPEED!!!!" meta is making me hate previously loved ingame interactions like alva opening portals, cassia starting her encounters, the only good thing i know is breaches which start immediately and don't waste precious seconds i eventually need cause i need those seconds cause the fckn phased boss probably phases out before i can kill him in time.

easy way to destroy one's game. the few peeps designing this league clearly didn't have the time to seriously think this through.

I just get inside incursion asap and then choose which boss to kill in the 10 sec grace period.

I'm not quitting PoE any time soon obviously but man, leagues like this perma RUN RUN RUN shit are a blemish on my PoE experience and will help me move on from PoE when a serious contender comes along.

I agree. Even though I like the league for what it is, maybe mostly because I'm bored - forced to be home, 3 months of stressed gameplay where you're always pushed to go faster and further based on a timer, is... Well... Too stressful.

You're right, of course.

But I usually play leagues to play the league mechanics, or else I could just play standard. It's just sad when every single percent of the league mechanics is timed. And I also like rewards, and for Delirium to be rewarding, you have to push a bit.

I could "not push myself", but then it wouldn't be rewarding. So it goes both ways.

and u can get rid of the timer with those nice delirium orbs ;p so it's not there is always a timer:P also sometimes u get a bad bunch so then it's not really worth getting it to 5+ anyways.
