Since servers are down for a while, I'd like to show a little mana leech testing I did. Just switched the ring and sword from my previous post so no interference would occur from theirs mana regen/leech.

The weapon I used have a nice physical damage bonus but no attack speed mod at all. Would an inverse situation affect the results adversely?

Spoiler

Spirit Void results: rarely lacked mana hitting groups of mobs and single target (rare, unique, boss).

Essence Sap results: literally unable to run out of mana when hitting groups of mobs. On single target fights it rarely occurred.

TL;DR: while not perfect, these notables helped a lot with mana replenishment.
Hey EliotMess!

Leech is based on many factors in-game, but ultimately it's based on single hit damage. So attack speed will only be beneficial once each hit you make can provide the full mana cost of your next attack. Leech is tricky while levelling. So I simply use only one or two auras while levelling and one or two mana flasks.

Does that help?

hey mate, first duelist build I've tried, what skills do you recommend using to level up?
Hey GrandPeasantKingAmania!

Levelling is really a method of preference. So pick whichever skills feel good to YOU. For me? I really like far-reaching skills that I don't really have to aim. Ground Slam, Smite, Sunder are good skills. They are all physical damage and you can hit enemies from a distance sometimes. Keep in mind Leap Slam or Shield Charge is great too because our Trigger Skills kill enemies that Hit us too.

Those are my preferences. Does that help?

Currently using cleave actually, with the cleave fortify jewel socket in the way to the scion health nodes.
Works pretty well.

Still not sure what pantheons i prefer though.
Wrecker, that's very helpful. Specially the "ultimately it's based on single hit damage" part, as I somehow managed to completely forget about this. Thanks a lot!

GrandPeasantKingAmania, I'm liking to use Perforate and Lacerate while leveling because they interact nicely with Blood/Sand Stance, just like Bladestorm itself. They come free as quest rewards, too. And shield-charging those pesky rhoas just before they can head-butt you... it's priceless! XD

Hey boomwolf!

The Pantheons are great with this build. None are essential so it's totally dependant on playstyle. I switch between mine often enough myself.

For those having early game mana problems.... I choose to do this and have ZERO mana issues at 44.

Passive Points
#1 Went directly to Resolute Techniques

#2 Grabbed Mana Flow (right at starting position) This is not in build but helps make the build much easier at lower levels & can refund later as needed

#3 traveled to Life and Mana Leech, under Vaal Pact

IMPORTANT do not take Vaal pact at low level... grab the other leech nodes suggested in the build first

With just Mana Flow things are much better on its own... with Life and Mana Leech your game changes permanently for the better with the two combined

Hope this real life experiences helps!
is it possible to used cyclone with this build instead of bladestorm, and if so, what would you suggest for the 6-link?

i made last league a similar one. all u need is the change the 5/6L to normal cyclone:

cyclone - impale - infused channeling - brutality - fortify - pulverise

or if you play with rage (to do more dmg und berserk mode)

cyclone - impale - infused channeling - brutality - fortify - rage

mine was - and will be again - a 77-76-76 resistance, 75 chaos resistance, 90 phys red, 79% att&spell block one. about 1.5m shaper dps (not so much, but its ok). easy playstyle. and dps will skyrock if you play with corrupted facebraker with vulnerability an hit. but you can check my profil and char "RobinLostHisWeapon" to see my build

Hi Wrecker_of_Days,

Firts of all my thanks to you for sharing this awesome build. I came back to PoE after over 1year and luckily could manage to respec my only char, an outdated max block gladiator, to your build.

After getting back feeling with the game (so many new contents), i started to work toward min-maxing my char a bit, as it is the only one i play. I write to you asking for advices on how to further improve.

My gear:
Spoiler

First, as i lacked damage, i switched to the setup suggested in the previous thread by a guy, using impresence and vulnerability curse (very effective setup imho). Then, after reaching lvl 20 on gems i traded them to vendors to get 20% quality, to further increase damage output. Are there other ways to add more? Except buying a better weapon with 180+% increased phys :-P

About defences: even if i reach max block and elementals are over 120% each, i still get one-shot here and there. I could achieve more life pool with 6-link belly, but i don't have the currency yet. And i'm confused about the pantheon. Which are the best choices there, and should we complete the souls of our choice by capturing every minor soul?

Last thing: in the passive tree, as i completed the main path, i started walking towards jewels nodes, to put the remaining points (i plan to level the char even more, now is lvl 91). Is this the correct choice or should we focus on more useful nods? Which one should we work towards?

Again, my thanks to you for your kind advices, and have a nice (quarantined) day :-D
Hey just started the league using this build and it's awesome! Thanks for the build.
One question I have is related to movement, for re-positioning purposes, builds usually allow teleport/dash in the build, but i don't see one here. Is there a suggestion if I want to implement a movement skill in the build - how would you do it to maximize utilization of already utilized nodes, etc without losing too much dps?
