How do I report RMT?
" He's saying said guy is buying up endgame-level items and then either dying or removing them from the market, and since the ps4 HC market is substantially smaller than the pc market it is affecting his ability to get items because they are poofing away to this one guy. |

" Finally someone understands. The PS4 HC market is very small. This is affecting players who play by the rules. [Removed by Support]

" I know the concept of supply and demand. The problem is this guy is buying everything with RMT so legit players who play by the rules don't have a chance to buy a good item. This is on PS4. The HC community is small and not much endgame stuff on market. [Removed by Support] Last edited by Auradinho#9874 on Mar 6, 2020, 5:30:12 AM

" But that is not RMT. RMT (Real Money Trading) is buying items / currency on 3 party sites for real money...... |

" He is using RMT to buy currency and items. Ifnot I would not have used the term 'RMT'. [Removed by Support]

" You are looking at either poe.trade or pathofexile.com/trade for items to buy, correct ? So yes, it's possible that a user is buying currency on a RMT site and then buy the items listed on poe.trade / pathofexile.com/trade using that currency. However in no way can you be sure that items listed on RMT sites are the same as the ones listed on poe.trade / pathofexile.com/trade So since you have already contacted GGG about this and got a "negativ" reply, then that's it. Nothing more can be done unless you directly have proof of him doing it on a stream or something like that...... |

Greetings,
Honestly, There is no way you can prove the player is buying currency with RMT. Only GGG can investigate and maybe, if their logs are sophisticated enough, they can see a pattern or see that accountX is a RMT and that the player exchanged currency for nothing with the person you suspect. In RL I have many RL fraud cases on my desk (Financial transactions fraud, Bank account fraud, credit card fraud, forgery, etc) per week and only a small percentage can be resolved. Considering that each bank has cameras, every financial transaction is recorded AND most US banks require a thumb print on cashed checks, I would doubt GGG can find your culprit. How can a player benefits investing RL money to buy an item like The Baron with a high drop rate in a small market that lasts 3 months? I just checked the price of an ex on RL money site and it is 5 cents US. Even if the player makes a profit of 1000 exalts a day (This is a lot of trades), it is only 50$. There are faster and easier ways to make money on Internet. Thank you |

" "I have evidence but I refuse to let anyone know what it is, just trust me" Yea, that's definitely a claim people are gonna believe. Idk what "Evidence" you can possibly have that is SO secret you cannot reveal it to anyone but I doubt it's anywhere as definitive as you make it sound. GGG clearly didn't believe your evidence so I am unsure what you're asking here cause the final authority on the matter is GGG lol |

" I'm not going to ask you "if" or "how" you KNOW that he's RMT'ing, as I don't think you would make this thread unless you KNOW (look at me, I have faith in humanity). Anyhow, if the console HC market is so small and niche, who's farming the currency he's RMT'ing? I would assume that people farming currency to sell on RMT sites, would choose larger markets than "a niche, console HC market"? Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Mar 6, 2020, 2:05:24 PM

" Fun fact - you can't post usernames or suspected RMT websites on the forums. They'll immediately get taken down. That said, this entire post is pointless BECAUSE the info was already sent to GGG and it can't be posted here. Honestly, there isn't a single popular game with trading that doesn't have some sort of RMT that I'm aware of. Yes, it hurts the economy...but there's no foolproof way to get rid of it, and even more so in a free to play game where accounts can be created infinitely even if they get banned. It's best to accept it as an unfortunate side effect of the game's popularity. If you can't do that, it's best to find something else to play (I know, it's not the answer anyone wants to hear, but it's the truth). |
