So .... more (grey) screen clutter/vomit and more powercreep ?
People who think that power creep is the only thing that can add fun / interesting elements to the game seem very superficial I guess, as power creep itself is exactly that : superficial.
Oh, and two words : horizontal scaling. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

People seem to forget they actually have to spend points to select the new nodes, meaning you will have to make some hard sacrifices from an already point starved situation. Sure it might be a slight power creep but the points you spend will have to be taken from somewhere else. Having multiple options for builds is a good thing.

" Having multiple options surely is a good thing ... Unfortunately, in PoE, those "options" end up being like ... you have 10 options, 6 are complete trash, 2 are okay at best, 1 is pretty good and the last 1 is overwhelmingly strong :). I just cannot trust GGG's balance team to intruduce balanced keystones / notables only at this point. The new jewel's concept is great itself, it is an amazing example of horizontal scaling (not like this, pure, blatant, gross power creep). Its implementation worries me though. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading. Last edited by Fruz#6137 on Feb 26, 2020, 12:33:51 AM

still using the buzzword "power creep" for everything that's new content..
well.. either adapt or be consumed by the looks of it you have been consumed already. "Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. |

" Have you read any of the thread content and the answers ? I think it's pretty safe to assume that .... you didn't, or you could not understand it, idk, it does not quite matter to be honest. I'm necroing this thread because it's something that I think we all should always be talking about as we lead up to the Delirium launch.
Despite all of the new stuff that looks pretty cool about Delirium, I am extremely concerned about the visibility factor. It's already impossible to see many different attacks from Metamorphs and Blighted Mobs if you've got 3+ people playing in a group, so the idea of engaging with more-hectic versions of that content through layers of fog sounds absolutely horrific. |

Well, Chris does not want to reduce the monster density because to him, the 'amoun of fun' is directly linked to the monster density, anything else is secondary.
And I wish I was joking with this, I really wish. " The fog itself is already a concern, so yeah ... imagine metamorphs in that grey fog lulz, didn't think about that one to be honest, didn't even need to, but ... SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

" I'm honestly fine with more pack density. What I'm not fine with is some purely aesthetic/thematic garbage blocking my screen when everything is already all the same damn color. Or, put a different way: THIS RIGHT HERE IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Last edited by ARealLifeCaribbeanPirate#2605 on Mar 2, 2020, 8:30:47 AM
