with 100 IIR I get at least a magic off every other champ/elite and a rare every half a dozen of them.
This game is hilariously favoured for magic find gears.

+1
Well im running maps with 80 quantity 180 rarirty and rate of drops are fine but rolls on the rares just pure garbage most of the times i end up with 4-5 alteration worth rares in a 68 rare map and my highest level unique is 54lvl maul from ledge!!!
So even with high amount of rare drops its not the worth the effort waste of time... I believe we could do better without MF like in Titan quest.
Yea... i agree.

In terms of time investment/rewards for player for beating content Titan quest without MF mechanic was perfect and very fun to play. So much items... so much drops from bosses.
Its not like i want 5 uniqs per boss fight - i think they should feel rare and special but whe now compare games like TQ/D2 to POE in terms of drops/player rewarding - the results are crushing for PoE.

Its a little over the top but PoE is completely on the other side of this river.

Honeslty.. item hunt in POE is lacking... some will even say.. boring. Removing or heavy balancing of IIR/IIQ mechanics will be a blessing.

PS. And now i want to install TQIT to Actually find some cool unique items. :)
There i even D2reborn mod with most of legendary D2lOD items reworked for TQIT.... hmmm... tempting.. so tempting after struglling with grind in POE/D3.

The difference between wearing mf & none in the game is like night & day. When you have none you can expect to get a grand total of f'all from mobs & maybe a blue or 2 from a boss. When you stack mf you get so many rares you can't pick them all up & end up selling transmutes for wisdom scrolls. I don't mind so much as I am an mf'er but I realise that the difference in drops from mf is probably too strong. I feel sorry for ppl whose build can't support mf as they are essentially finding about 1% of what I do in the same time.

As for large chests, they are about the most underwhelming thing in the game right now. An explosion of white items is all they bring and more often than not don't even drop 1 rare...pointless & disheartening to say the least.
Yeah MF is not so fun. There would be even more QQ about it it was easy to "MF swap", but thankfully it's not. I don't care much about MF personally. I play to kill monsters while trying to not die.

I have a friend who plays mostly gimped characters with crap gear all the time because he's an MF addict. Is this how it's supposed to be?

I think it would be more enjoyable if we had no MF mods on gear, better drop rates overall and increased MF from map mods to compensate.
be a man.

if is easy drops like you guys want would rain rare good items. because you have to do a lot did i say a lot but a really lot of maps to get lvl on high lvl. with High item drop the people in this lvl would get item for the entire server use.

its easy for the drop be controlled(low ratios) if you want moore on that high maps dificults you have to put the mf items and with this loose defs and risk to die.

its prety good the way it is.
MF needs to be at MOST on jewelry. Jewelry + gems Only. Then base drop %s need to be increased.

This game has what looks to be a completely unweighted RNG. Success in PoE is just persevering until your luck comes through. Some people get there in 5 minutes, some people in 50 hours, some people in 50 days. It's silly. It's why people multi log. It's why some people quit.

Games that cater to a small number of masochists never survive. GGG, history says you guys are trying to fail atm. Your game is challenging...to keep playing.

No its not. High lvl maps are not everything and they are only small portion of game content.
Broken builds can run in high MF gear without really any sacrifice.
And most importanlty game should at least try to be rewarding to all playstyles not only: stack MF and gimp you character if you 'want moore on that high map'.

But thx for your post.

I'm not sure what drug you're on, but this is how it's supposed to be. Rare items are supposed to be... rare, as in, you don't see them very often. Is it hard? I'm sure D3 take anyone they can get by now, and give it another 6 months and you'll see autopilot in the game aswell!
Im sure that you dont know what you talking about also you compeltely dont get the points of this thread (one of them is that rare items are not so rare in PoE). But thanks for your insightfull post that is full of arguments.

Also TQ is great game with great item system and PoE its not 'hard' at all. Its actually quite opposite because ill you must do now is stack IIQ100/IIR 200+ and you are winner of POE.
When in games without NF mechanic you may focus on beating the game and be rewarded for it not for stacking MF and running ledge with LA build. And here we are - you have your 'autopilot' in PoE sooner than in D3.

I suggest less ADHD, more thinking before youll hit "post reply' button.
