Quitting Smoking with PoE.

Just remember, that even though this seems funny, addictions can be for anyting, not just substances with addictive qualities, like drugs etc. Seemingly harmless things such as games CAN yeild addictions just as strong

Oh, absolutely. Angband-likes such as PoE and Diablo are especially 'guilty' of this (not that I blame the games). I won't even mention MMOs here...

In that regard I'm lucky. Don't get me wrong, I can get incredibly obsessed with a game, to the point that I'll be thinking of it for large chunks of the day, but at the same time, I've never had difficulty just stopping on a dime.

Right now, I'm at the obsession phase with PoE, and I intend to capitalize fully on that fact.

It is my conscious design to pit my bad habits against each other. For instance, my procrastination has been a great tool in cutting out my usual routine smokes ("eh, I'll get to it later" I think to myself, in regards to the morning cigarette, while I surf reddit with my coffee en main.)

Finally, you guys are just great. I didn't anticipate this level of interest, and I have to say it's very motivational.
