[Fixed] Lightning Stike = Crash to Desktop
Randomly when using Lighting Strike I get "Client.exe is not responding" crash. My computer is pretty good and I don't have anything cranked up. Normally running 80+ FPS 8GB Ram x64 win7.
Also, this is the only crash I have experienced since January. Last edited by Worldbreaker#6569 on Apr 10, 2012, 6:57:20 PM

You may have corrupted data somewhere in your pack file that is causing this? Try following these steps and see if they come up with anything.

I ran the packcheck and no errors were found. I am still crashing. I use flickerstrike then use Lighting strike with daggers for AOE. I get the crash on more than just my home computer, I have only tried this one and a friends.

Hmm, I'll investigate on a local copy of your character on Monday! Sorry for the trouble!

" Thank you. Here is a little more information. Sometimes I can clear a whole map using these 2 skills, it doesn't happen every time I use lightning strike. It seems to happen more often when I am flickering like crazy and am immediately hitting lighting strike into grouped mobs. I also have blood rage going. |

I have the same issue. I got randomly client.exe crashes when using lightning strike. It also affects my party members, they get client crashes too at the same time mine crashes.
And like the thread starter, the packcheck don´t finds any errors.... Hope that can be fixed I love that spell. =) Last edited by Zarah#5871 on May 13, 2012, 8:45:22 AM

I remember having a few crashes when I used lightning strike in 0.9.8, too.
I think I haven't had one since I switched skills. Last edited by Xorim#4799 on May 13, 2012, 8:44:29 AM

" You don´t use lightning strike anymore or you don´t get crashes with it? So if it´s the later one what have you changed? |

Also getting crashes while using this skill. Never happens with any other skills and I too don't have any errors to report.

I am also getting seemingly random CTD using lightning strike as well. I have ran the checking tool and no errors have come up.
