Microtransactions very expensive for my taste.
I really like the way POE does everything.... but.... I really think the cosmetics are way too expensive. I probably would spend more money in the end if everything was a lot cheaper. Because I would get way more back for my money, then I do now. So now I'm like... no.. Not going to spend 60 euro for 1 outfit while I can also buy a new triple A game with that money. But if I could buy three outfits for the same amount, I probably would be more interested to buy those three outfits (and then another, then another...). But this is my opinion. Same for the other cosmetics like weapon cosmetics et cetera.

They exist to support the developer, not to decorate your character.

I would consider POE a triple A game, one I have played a lot longer than I have many so called "real" games. I have no problem giving them money every once and a while.

THey are a rip off but not if you buy certain packs. They are totally free assuming you need stash tabs anyway. Like for example if you were to buy vanguard set you get 1600 pts for $160 bucks which is exactly what 1600 pts costs. However with pack you get three weapons effects, three armor sets, and so on free.
They made game where you need stash tabs if you play at all serious so this is best bargain. Also you can get free MTX costumes just by playing. I have dozens of free armor sets over the years. Granted it's not for everyone just pponting out best value. In theroey you can spend zero and play just like everyone else. The # 1 SSFHC player for a couple years had zero packs or store bought MTX (King Aliatwplayer)until someone on his twitch gifted him a map tab. Git R Dun! You don't have to buy them. Even if you feel you need stash tabs they go on sale every few weeks and you can manage to keep a lot of stuff with a few dollars' worth.
If they weren't making money they would lower the prices. Apparently there are enough whales to keep the devs from living on peanut butter and jelly sammiches. |

"Ever heard the saying, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. Everyone has different backgrounds and financial situations, MTX are expensive regardless of how much you earn. Like the people have said before it's best to wait for sales and buy packs, save the points you get and buy things on sale. Personally I think they are a bit too expensive to justify buying them regularly but I do buy a pack every so often to help fund the game and get the MTX as a bonus. I personally feel if they lowered the cost so it can be more justified they would sell more and possibly make more, but in reality I am not qualified to predict how that would play out. |

People really need to weigh game time played to microtransaction pricing.
I buy a support pack every single expansion because I put more time into each expansion as I do any $60 game I would normally buy. |

They are expensive i would agree . However getting a pack is usually your best bang for your buck and waiting for sales helps alot .
Just a sec let me grab a beer...@#*@ Ok how did I die this time

" You literally quote the most expensive thing in the store as your example. What in the actual is the purpose of that? It is like saying cars that are made by Ford are too expensive and then pointing out that a GT costs $450,000. There are dozens of cosmetics for just a few dollars each. And here's something about marketing that you have not considered. Anything cheap that is bought by a large number of people, will self correct. People don't want to wear what they see everyone else wearing. So no, you can't just assume that cheaper = more sales = more income. The amount of extra sales due to a lower price gets countered by a loss of interest when it looks to be a common item seen on a lot of other players. They've been selling them at a wide range of prices for many years and they know exactly how well things sell at different prices. Your imaginings about how things would be better for them are in fact irrelevant. |
