what happened with currency trades?

Here are a few solutions to the troubles you are mentioning;

1. Ignore them.
2. Ignore and report them.
3. Report them.
4. Do not purchase their ill-gotten items.

They obviously do not use the trade site/system because they are wanting real money for in-game items. Given as to how the structure works, sure they could spend a chunk of their already meager man-power to combat it, but, the best solution is to just not buy from them.

For a few reasons. For one, it is against the TOS and can (most liekly will) if they find out, get your account permanently banned.

Two, is that it destroys their market because they are not getting what they want.

It is getting worse too. Yesterday I was trying to buy a tabula for leveling purposes. While I did not check every single offer a good number of them, even the ones at the bottom of the page, were either trying to scam, did not respond or were already sold. I had to manually input 13 chaos orbs to get the next offers. Never seen something like this before.

On the other side, I was breaking a bunch of ex to buy emblems yesterday. I had 7 up for sale, and sold them all to the first guy who whispered (~5 minutes after putting them in) for 120c each.

I kept track for funsies I got 290 whispers before they finally delisted themselves.

Most of the people aren't scamming, the items are just already sold and people cba to reply "sold" to every single person.

Yeah i know sometimes it can be annoying to just type sold like 40 times. But if you are willing to trade items you must be willing to tell people you just sold it, if not you are part of the players not responding and the cycle continues.

I play on PS4. Map and currency trades are a dream and far superior.

Specific Multi-modded rares are a nightmare currently, but improvements are on the way.

hence the problem, because this game is based around mostly using rares. Sure those platforms have some benefit, but PC is still far superior, and it SUCKS

No, the endgame revolves around crafted rares. It's very unlikely, though possible I suppose, for a random drop to be perfect. So almost everyone is using fully or partially craftd rares (and some uniques) in the endgame.

If you find yourself needing to trade and shop for rares for help in your initial leveling process, your needs regarding the game far exceed the trade system.

Maybe people don't want to sell their fusings. So? You have to offer more than you're used to.

But then I got to thinking....
If we were able to buy instantly (without restriction) wouldn't that make it that much easier for the price fixers? They could just literally buy up all of the lower priced Chaos (or any item they want to fix) and sell them for a higher price.

One, that's not what price fixers do, they corner low value / low volume items to misrepresent their value.

Two, let them try something like this with items of real value or available in any meaningful volume, it will not be a sustainable tactic unlessthe item was legitimately undervalued to begin with.

Which are horible to search for on other platforms, and pain in the ass to trade for in PC. And NO crafted rares are normally just the easiest midhighend gear, the truly best gear will at most have 1 crafted mod, but that is not the point.

Be aware items are staying listed for a long time after they've been sold.

If you are trying to buy the cheapest exalt you can you're probably whispering someone who's already sold it.

Use the live feed to see when new ones are listed and you'll have a better chance, that or spend a little more and be sure you are buying from someone with some stock.

yes, some people seem to have no idea how you get flooded with whispers if you list currency for trade at any reasonable price. you need to go down the list a bit and whisper those people. the "cheapest" price is not the market rate for currency because it's simply not available.
