Easy solution for 'multiboxing'
" Hi, Jak. Multiboxing software makes it so that software that only runs once, runs multiple times. You know? So no, this isn't the "simplest" way. While POE runs more than once when you run it, many multiboxed games don't do that, but the multiboxing software lets you run them anyway. |

" Yes, very valid point. I didn't realize about the software, thought that it was due to the ease of being able to run multiple clients on one pc with no effort. Last edited by Jaknet#1426 on Mar 15, 2013, 2:15:02 PM

Why does it have to be the client?
Why can't the server see if someone is multi-boxing or not? Check if any 2 on-going games have the same IP. If they do->multibox force one of them to wait until the other one is finished, or contact them or something. If they are behind a NAT, then use the MAC address. Unless I'm missing a big hole in this that can be exploited |

" Have you tried to launch it more than once? I have, and that works perfectly fine. So again, what the f... are you talking about? Still sane exile?

The problem with multiboxing is that by allowing it, GGG is providing an unfair advantage to people who are willing to download (possibly shady) 3rd party programs which may or may not be infected with any form of malware.
Secondly, I strongly believe that the most effective way to play the game should be the most fun way at the same time. Having to run multiple instances of PoE and shrinking the screens isn't very fun to me. Thirdly, it kind of fucks over low-budget gamers (or even high-budget gamers, I consider myself quite 'geared up' but still can't play in full parties where people are spamming poison and lightning arrows). I don't have a second monitor for example, so my effectiveness is already greatly reduced. Running 6 instances of PoE will probably lower the FPS to some degree as well. All these things reduce fun. Beyond league.

" Well that is odd :) Right now I have 4 copies running at the same time. What you cannot do, is login to the same account at the same time. Still sane exile?
