in the last few leagues you can feel the the direction of what GGG and tencent are moving forward.

will not enjoy the game.

No need in cheap drama. It is not about "last few leagues". I see you have "Breachlord supporter" tag. Breach league _was_ something called "speed meta" and it was 3 years ago.

Btw breach league was so popular not because it was simple but because it was extremely, extremely rewarding.

I have no problem with GGCent making profit - in fact it's better for everybody if they are doing well.

But there is a threshold where you go from "pay-to-look-cool" or "pay-for-convenience" to "pay-to-win" or "pay-to-not-inflict-repetitive-stress-injuries-on-yourself."

The map thing crosses that line - in my opinion at least. And it gets insulting when you already are buying every $60.00+ supporter pack (and more).

It makes me angry for the same reason Soda Taxes and Cell-Phone-Text Taxes p*ss me off. (Yes these are real things here in the States). It's not the trivial cost - it's the disrespect that an entity must have for someone to be so crass towards them.

Willing support to a hobby... I am fine with that...

...being "coerced" into spending $14.00 in order to keep the things I worked to earn... while I already spend heaps of cash on a product... that tells me you think very little of my patronage.

As long the game is fun, I keep playing. And on the same token...if playing becomes more a chore and not enjoyable, it's time for me to move on.
Not seeing the issue here. The speed meta happened before Tencent.

The mtx used to come out in one huge lump. Now they split it up over a month. Just makes it look like more. The quantity hasn't really gone up that much. Just how they introduce them has change. I imagine they get more sales now just because of how they are introduced. Some probably can't wait to see them all and buy something and realize a few days later there is something else they like and buy that to. Smart business decision for ggg imo. The prices have been ridiculous forever. So nothing new there either.

Loot boxes came along WAY before Tencent as well.

Pretty sure almost everything we have seen so far has been planned out before tencent even bought out poe. I believe they had everything planned up to the end of 2019 before the buy out. 4.0 might be a different story so who know's about that.

There are definitely issues with the game and always has been. That is expected with a game that constantly changes. For example the map tabs are a bit ridiculous but I imagine eventually that will be cleared up. They are definitely taking their time about it though...

TLDR: Nothing new in this thread move along...

The point of any business is to make money. Making money ( wealth ) is a moral act.

I bet you actually think Capitalism is evil, right?

The more money GGG and Tencent make by providing us a great product, the better for all of us.

It is truly amazing that someone can fit so much stupidity into four sentences.

Atleast for me. The train of new microtransactions are turning me off from buying the new stuff. And i do feel sorry for people who are addicted to buying MTX, yes it can be an addiction, a real expensive one at that. But hey i get to save some money.

When the MTX where fewer and further between they felt cooler and more impactful.

But im sure they have data regarding all this with graphs showing what they need to know. Just hope they are not chugging out MTX like santa makes presents because people are buying less and less so they feel they need to release more and more, thats the wrong way to go about it.

In regards to the leagues. Its becoming a minefield. There are soooo many mechanics atm. Specially when it comes to crafting. You end up spending more time on 3rd party websites than you do in game. The worst part for me personally is that i feel like i loose out and fall behind the curve if i dont take part in high end crafting for profit.

I just wanna kill stuff and get some juicy items every now and then and maybe do some simple crafting every now and then. But simple/quick crafting wont get you the results you want.

That said, the game is still alot of fun as a whole. Just some things that are putting a little damper on my enjoyment.
