Vaal Regalia has 175 base ES
Resplendent can add 145 ES, gives us 320 ES.
Unconquerable gives +120% Local ES
Seraphim's (Hybrid) gives +56% Local ES for a total of +176% ES, which brings the chest to 883.2 ES.
Then 20% quality should multiply that by 1.2 for a final value of 1059.8 (probably rounded down?). So what did I miss for a 1100+ ES chest to be possible?
20% quality is additive, isn't it? So it would be 320 * (1 + 1.2 + 0.56 + 0.2) = 947 max ES.
I thought the same thing, turns out it is multiplicative with the total base.
the new mods just came out so just wait for someone to loot an ilvl 78 chest and start the rolling... tho id just buy one of the 6L 900 ones already floating around since it will take so so long to get a brand new one with the new mods a 6L

Mod values were shuffled about after ruthless went out and A3 came in, but I can assure you that there was a 1134 ES chest in CB. Hell, there were probably lots of 1000+ ES chests.

So, (175+145)*2.7*1.2 = 1036 ES (highest achievable ES on a Vaal)
This is after "The maximum flat energy shield that can be gained on an item has been reduced."
the new max value is now
(175+45)*2.76*1.2 = 1059 ES now that there're ilevel 78 ES + Stun recovery mods. Not like the increment is very much significant heh.

I'm not to chabby at crafting and i think you are right!
you state that you had the Resplendent mod after alting and it is quite the woste roll on it 135-145 and your chest has 137... so gettin it better by divining is easy!
and you must have the Djins mod because otherwise you couln't have 15% stun recovery
so let see if it would be possible for you to have the Dauntless mod instead of the Unconquerable
djin's has 42 to 50 to local
and Dauntless would have 83 to 100
so the best roll of thouse tow mods would be 150
well and yours has 167 ... so yeah xD
