So if im not mistaken you're trying to get BGGRR on a pure ES chest.
That's 0,045% chance to get it. So you should not even start it under 2223 chromatics. Get a different armor. BGGRR wont happen on that one. Why did you even get it in the first place? Last edited by prh#1855 on Mar 7, 2013, 8:01:50 AM

" There's your problem. This is an ARPG. ARPG's are almost always about grinding and farming. Also, you should've just bought what you wanted with all the currency you wasted on your item. It's much more efficient. GL & HF. |

Get a Armor/Evasion chest.

Make a new build instead of copy/pasting Kripparian that doesn't require that specific skill set. You could also try reading his guides before going through with them, like the part where he describes how gear intensive the build is. You should try a Armor, Armor/Evasion chest instead. You will have a higher chance to get the colors you need.

So let me get this straight, you have a pure ES chest, and you're trying to get a BGGRR 5 link? Why are you even trying to do that on an ES chest? That is the absolute WORST possible chest to get a BGGRR. Instead of wasting time posting such a ridiculous thread, you could have just bought an armor, armor+es, armor+eva, eva, or eva+es chest and probably gotten the links you needed.
See you, Space Cowboy...

What is the exact chance of getting BBGGR?
is it 3^5 + bias factor? Roughly 1/400? |

You would have better success with an Armor/Evasion or an Evasion/Energy Shield armor for that color combination. Of course folks have already indicated that.
What I really wanted to say was that there is very little class identity in this game. One of the only things that separates a witch from a marauder (for example) is the ease in which they are able to use a native (meaning ES or Armor) armors. The color combinations that you can achieve easily with these armors, favors a more arch-typical approach. This makes a whole lot of sense to me. Do you really think there are a lot of leap slam (for example) witches running around in the wilds of Wraeclast? They would likely be highly skilled and very unique. Most probably utilizing a more intelligent armor type for their needs. Such a witch would have abandoned their initial studies for more 'strength' focus. In which case, they would favor a STR/INT hybrid or perhaps all out strength. They would find that the skills they wanted to socket would come naturally to those armors with little effort. You, on the other hand, appear to be trying to min/max a situation that was never meant to be min/maxed with any amount of ease. You are in very good company in this pursuit, as many before you have fallen into such a trap. Your answer is simple. Either change your armor type or find more chromatics. You can get any combination with any armor type with enough effort. |

What or where does one find info on the item type versus the color socket chance and combination chances/ odds? I've been playing the game on and off since spring 2012 and was not aware of the specifics of what someone posted above regarding ES gear. It seems very specific. How and where does this information come from? Thanks. |
