Auras art is TOO BIG.

I am playing a thief/rogue character or so i want to envision her. Having huge glowing orbs floating around her is immersion breaking , i look like a disco ball .

I understand people playing a paladin character might like the auras that make them shiny and all but as it is auras are important for pretty much any toon in game .

please please please :P , just add a disable auras effect option.

I am willing to BUY the option with points for my character. something like attaching it to one character to make him "stealthy" .I would pay even more to have my auras become something like a fog/smoke around my character
The "planet"-effect for the damage-auras is unfitting in my opinion either.
It would work for some spells like the Orb-Spells in Dungeon Siege 1, but here I would use a different one.
The best of course... on the weapon... ok... won't happen cuz of buyin-stuff ya say...
Well... another proposal:
like Dungeon Siege 1 or Titan Quest -> lightnings/flames/ice-crystals at the hands of all affected creatures. (in case of unarmed enemies that would also be ideal)
Not perfect but at least a lot better.

Cant do it on weapons as their may be enchant spells in future.

Thats also where micro transactions come in.

You know we cant leave footprints at the moment.

to Yoshirouu

Yes , yes it is.

Sorry im not desaturating effects. Photoshop an image and see what that looks like for yourself lol.

Ill look into this more later however for now they are acceptable. Maby not to the people stacking 3 auras and using minions but I cant do much about that.

OK RIGHT!

For futures I plan to update increased accuracy , energy sheild and maby elemental damages

However I need designs. Its all good to say "they need to be better and more detailed!" but really I need examples. So get drawing or referencing if you want them different :P
That's really really disappointing. I was under the impression that auras were being toned down to use less obtrusive graphics and be more like Clarity, Discipline, and Grace. IMO grace is the perfect example of where all auras should be in terms of saturation.

Graphical effects should be proportional to their GAMEPLAY SIGNFICANCE. Stuff like an enemy's poison cloud should be very obvious because it's important that I know about it. If some ally is spamming sparks, however, that should be a very small effect since where the sparks go is pretty much irrelevant to both of us. Auras are among the least-significant effects in combat, and their graphical effects should reflect that.

I also really dislike seeing my character covered in auras all the time. It looks ugly, distracting, makes the game much more difficult to play, and really detracts from the rest of the game's art. Furthermore there is absolutely NO NEED for them to be anywhere near as big or as bright as they are.

How about this:

Wrath: Small electrical arcs shoot between your feet and the ground every now and then.
Anger: The area around your character ripples as though looking through a flame.
Hatred: Small particles of snow fall around your character.

Discipline is perfect. Perhaps when you add an energy shield effect you can tack something onto that in order to show Discipline's effect.

see what you did ... now the auras look like shit ... :(
-_-
OP doesnt want 'new' auras. He want smaller auras.

I dont understand GGG decision.

Instead redo old auras to be smaller and less flashy they make some shitty and ugly floating crap...

wtf?

Old ones was too big but at least they look like auras and has 'thematic' look. New ones are.... ehhh.... waste of time i think. Another rushed and poor change ingame.
