[3.24] 🗡The Nightblade🗡 Unholy Might : 100% phys converted to chaos

I'm really enjoying this build so far! However, as I'm starting to dip into red maps I'm second guessing the choices I've made so far. There's some things I have in mind on the to-do list, such as getting an amulet with life that I can then anoint ambidexterity too, better rings, jewels, and claws that are more crit-frendly.

So far I've been avoiding low-life stuff and bloodthrist as I like seeing that orb be full and red at all times, but I might need that DPS even after my changes. Concentrated Effect seems to be working well for now though.

Lastly I'm sure I need to fiddle with the pathing, but I'm not quite sure what to do to maximize claws and maybe some support for Ghost Shroud as that's been fun to play with.

here are some leads :

- replace your Allure claws by the Scourge uniques.
Or rare ones that you can try to craft yourself : use Essences of Zeal to get guaranteed 2.0 attack speed, then pray to get phys dmg.
If you had the rare phys claw you've simulated, you would get enough accuracy to remove the 3pts of Acuity on the tree.

- With the tree, you have immunity to corrupted blood and 90% chance to avoid bleeding. So maybe you can replace your first flask with another that grants curse immunity for instance.

- Since your Purity of Element reserves less mana, you have enough unreserved mana to add Flesh & Stone or Herald of Purity.

- I'm not sure the Rotgut flask is useful for you, because I don't see how you gain frenzy charges.

Thx to Shaper's gloves, INT grants accuracy.

On the paper, you lose DPS (because dual-wield grants more atk speed), but you will attack only with one strong weapon, so no need to get two equally strong daggers.
Plus, you can easily max your res, get some chaos res, atk speed, even some AoE. Look for at least +90 life, and even +100.

Looking at it, would it be possible to do 2 foils and convert to cold ? I'm really bad with POB and was wondering if someone could help and advise if the dps and defences are smaller.

Am I correct in thinking that, if you're not crit capped, you should probably go for deadly infusion over opportunistic? This is my first "real" character and I'm struggling getting great gear, and deadly infusion takes me from 75% to 90% crit chance and is obviously much more damage than opportunistic. I'm sure the reflected damage will kill me at some point, but it seems like a big improvement.

Hey,
With swords, you will get fewer Elusive bonuses, so less avoid chance and less crit multi from Elusive -because no Nigthblade support.
If you want another defense instead, you will have to get block chance probably.

I've already tried conversion to cold in Ultimatum, and I'm not sure it's the best. Gaining physical as extra cold is very good (Hatred and Herald of Ice), but in itself, conversion does not bring that much.

Hi,

you gotta check the numbers in PoB. Simulate Opportunistic by specifying 1 "nearby Rare or Unique Enemies" in Configuration tab. See if it's better than Deadly Infusion.

And unless you run a map with "monsters reflect x% dmg", you will never get reflected dmg.

I'm a young exile and this is my first build (in Scourge League).

I really like it so far, I'm now lvl 91 and I don't understand why I have so low DPS compared to yours (yes, I'm aware of your ambusher and I can't find a better one than mine :( ).

I'm playing with a shield because you know, glasscannon has to be mastered and it's my first league, so defence is so much better with my good shield... but still, in my POB, I'm at 1.2M DPS, and I don't see where I could go to max these a little more (compared to yours).

(yes, I tried for ~150 chaos to craft a good dagger but no luck so far)

your character is good. Good stuff. Top notch Watcher's Eye with Purity of Elements and Precision.
Don't try to craft a better dagger. With 400 phys DPS, yours is good enough.

In Config, you haven't checked Unholy Might, so you're closer to 1.8M DPS. And 20% more with the 7th stage of BF, which PoB doesn't recognize = 2.15M.

At this point, every improvement will be costly. But there's still a good margin for progress.

If I had your character today, here is what I would do :

1) 20% gem quality on every 6 BF gems (Infused Chan already done). As well as on Whirling Blades and Faster attacks (faster movement = character is more responsibe = feels better).
Total : 7 gems = 140 gemcutter prisms.

2) Remove the totem medium cluster for the moment, add Martial Prowess on the large cluster. Add another jewel with 7% life, some dmg and res if possible.
Raise Precision up to level 8. We'll need more unreserved mana, see 6) below.
> 100% Accuracy.

3) Remove life nodes on the tree, get Inveterate cluster for spell suppress + mastery for crit chance (5 pts needed).
> 100% spell suppression.

4) Get a better amulet with (at least) 10% phys dmg as extra cold, crit multi and 1 open prefix to craft life at the bench.

5) Now, you miss a lot of cold res. Need a much better shield, with : 100 life, 53% cold res, chaos res.

You need Enlighten level 3 + Purity of Elements + Petrified Blood.

On the shield, you can craft "at least 2 blue and 1 red socket", 120 chromatics, then put these three gems there.
