[3.5-3.12 + 3,18 HC] Pure Herald of Agony Jugg. All content. Videos+Link to 3.14 & 3.15 Updates

I sort of invested heavily into the build in Delirium league and the damage has spiked to the highest I've seen. You will melt endgame content with proper investment plus you are able to maintain good defense.

OK, after ripping close to a dozen other builds this league, I came back to check this one out again for delirium HC. Using Lone messenger and pure agony with the original Quill rain variation. Still not the fastest clear under the sun, but I have to say that it has been delightful sitting in the middle of a T16 delirium with the health bar only flickering occassionally. Build seems to still be perfectly viable for all content with the addition of the new jewels. I think the nerf did nothing more than maintain balance for those jewels.

Current set up:

There are definitely much faster clearing variations than the one I am using. But after all the rips, its been nice to feel immortal again.

Shaper Down.

The quill rain version is back and stronger than its ever been. 3 Pure Agony and a lone messenger seems about right. At the moment I've taken them scattered across the tree and still maintain almost 8.5k life. With a voices jewel that would be closer to 9k. Either way, this is the most fun I've had with the original version of the build since it was made.

The thing I failed to think about correctly at league start is just how strong those three pure agony nodes are. See I thought (wrongly) at first that 15 extra virulence on top of the 40 we have already would give us about 37.5% more damage. Good but not for the investment. But that math is obviously wrong when I stopped to think it over. Because those 15 extra virulence are roughly 37.5% more increased phys * 37.5% more base physical damage * 37.5% more attack speed.
for over 2.5 times more damage than we get at 40 stacks. Maybe this is already obvious to everyone reading this, but I post just in case.

Current POB at lvl 95: https://pastebin.com/M4uqJny6
(Remember this will not account for the cluster jewels, so the numbers are way off. It is for tree purposes only).

Come wave hello if you are playing a variant and share what you've been up to!

My buddy and I hit 100 in SC delirium. Sold off my gear and swapped over to HC to see how far we can get before taking a break until next league.

Gratz on the SC 100! Seeing how far I can push things myself.

Have respecced into full meme 4x pure agony build. Still at approx 8.5k life at level 95, but damage has become ridiculous. Feels more or less like it did back at the beginning before they started nerfing. Love everything about this set-up.

Haha! That’s fantastic. My friend and I are were just POB’ing dropping the whole Templar area and grabbing 3x cluster sockets to stack Pure Agony / Disciples jewels. We are also talking 2x small cluster chaos jewels with Blessed and 1x small cluster chaos jewel with Anti-Venom.

Edit: I’ll post a pastebin later. Grabbing some spareribs to smoke this weekend.

Personally not using disciples--think it is unnecessary and overpriced. We have better options for a second node. The QR version of the build I am running maintains a full 60 stacks of virulence most of the time without needing disciples.

[Edit] Bought a disciples to try out and see if it made a difference in feel. Though I still think it's not required, I acknowledge that it does make everything feel another notch easier--ymmv.

Def agree they are pricey, but we bought the bases and rolled them ourselves with the currency we converted from DSC. We are also still leveling slowly. The increased minion damage loss is minimal, but I expect the QoL will be nice.

Managed to rip during a deep delve. Four damage mods are too many . . . .

After that, decided to try a practice run in standard on Sirus lvl 5 (My first time ever attempting the fight. I had kinda psyched myself out hearing from everyone how tough this was supposed to be . . . and it ended up feeling like a walkover. Build feels like it has excellent Sirus farming potential.
