This is a bug that's existed since day 1 of the LAST league. GGG simply never fixed it.
Change the resolution works for 2 seconds than it crash again. nice ggg >.>
2* time this BS froze my computer and i had to force restart it... Seriously GGG, how could such a bug have not been seen in your tests?

Just started getting this in 3.6.0. This is here to stay, I guess.
after 3 hours and still waiting..
Here is what I did to fix it:
1 Login on character in normal mode
2 The try login on character in synthesis league
3 If successful, remove all the equipment and try to teleport to where you need
This should be fixed very soon. We have deployed a client patch for the standalone version already and are deploying the Steam patch very soon.

same here, this helped me get back in so ty...for the benefit of a permanent fix though...this is the error message I got when I first logged on, before my loading screen would freeze on a synthesis character:

To be honest idk if they're related or I've got another spare issue to work out, but i'll check back to find out...in the meantime, thanks again for posting a workaround.
